According to recent threads:

Everyone over the age of about 35 looks way younger, constantly mistaken for younger, doesn't have a line on their face yet despite never using suncream, and their nan only used bin juice on their face and smoked 80 fags a day but had beautiful skin at 103 years old.

Everyone had sex with their complete stranger dp within about 4 seconds of meeting them for the first time, their dp moved in that night and never left and they're coming up to 762 years of happy marriage now.

Everybody on here seems to earn 200k in some mysterious job that doesn't seem to exist, they can't quite explain what they do, but they worked their asses off to get to this level of seniority which involves them working 3 hours a week for 2 weeks a year.

Interested to hear any more.

-I've learnt quite a lot from this site. The most important thing I've learnt, is to never, ever get married. Or live with a man. Or have children with a man. Or be with a man in any way, shape or form.

That's not the advice, it's just pure wisdom. Every DH/DP is lazy, entitled, neglectful, completely, utterly and pathetically useless and/or controlling and abusive in some way. And their DW/DP usually doesn't realise it until 20 pages of advice saying variations of the same obvious thing.

-Everyone has a child or children who are ND.

-Every DP/DH has a mysterious hobby that can't be disclosed, for reasons of magic.

-Most people live in a nice house and do normal stuff, except for the antics of DH/DP.

-Women don't understand the basics of how they deserve to be treated, including during dating scenarios and sexual encounters. I'm glad I'm not alone.

-I'm not alone in my obsession with...certain disgusting things...like how I deal with spots. There's a whole topic devoted to it.

Not very light hearted, but that there are so many really awful men out there.

Everyone on MN has a role rather than a job.

All men are great dad's even if they're lousy husband's.
All men take out the bins..which devastates me as mine doesn't.

The most common sense answers to a thread are in the first five responses and then it’s all downhill from there and the last couple of pages are just two mumsnetters slagging each other off until someone claims the thread has been derailed. OP is nowhere to be found.

LOL. Accurate.

If DP is 4 minutes late home or has done something slightly wrong you need a divorce asap!!!

This 🤣

Puddleduck5 · 11/12/2023 00:37

Everyone who leaves their home is a menace to cyclists (pedestrians, motorists, people walking their dogs etc.) Cyclists, on the other hand, never do anything wrong at all.....not ever!

Women will accept any old shite from men in a desperate attempt to not be single

NoBetterTime · 11/12/2023 00:39

That a lot of people have food issues.

That people get very worked up about Christmas lights.

That people can’t make decisions for themselves. I don’t know how people cope with life if they can’t decide very basic things for themselves and have to write a thread to ask whether to give their kids an early dinner and similar. 😅

clementyne · 11/12/2023 00:40

I'm going to fuck it up with a serious one. I've learned that there's a word for the way in which DP treats me, and it's "abuse". Without comments from MN I genuinely would never have figured this out, I thought that I was the problem. Although I'm immensely glad to finally understand and begin to rebuild my life, I'm sad that I only got this knowledge because there's so many women out there who have experienced the same.

Babla · 11/12/2023 00:41

Everyone has a favourite 'spot' to have their morning coffee, they shower 5 times a day and never use a toilet brush

That many women are quite happy to marry someone they don't fancy, and barely like, just so they can have some kids and a nice house.

And then put up AIBUs about why DH should be content to be celibate as sex is not a big deal.

Absolutely, I’ve been around mumsnet for about 20 years and this seems to pop up often. While no one should have sex if they don’t want to it’s seen as outrages that a man wants sex and might go looking elsewhere.

I’m sure I’ll get flamed for this, and I am not talking about men who are abusive, but mumsnet has destroyed my empathy for women who marry and have children with absolutely losers and man babies. I used to feel quite sorry for women who ended up with useless husbands. Now, I read about a women whose three kids in with a man who can barely look after himself never mind one child. Or, even worse, is a professional in a senior role at work but hopeless at home. It’s as if the women has no agency. The amount of women who end up like this on mumsnet is astonishing.

MarieKlepto · 11/12/2023 00:43

You are utterly pathetic if you feel upset because not a single person has remembered your birthday or, having explained why you are down, the anniversary of a loved one's death. You must "suck it up".

You have devised a dinner party menu and subsequently been informed that one of the guests has a particular allergy. You serve exactly what what you planned to, don't deviate, "not your circus, not your monkeys". They can just push it to the side. How dare they inconvenience you!

You have quite strong evidence of DV/criminality/other unsavioury behaviour next door. You "keep your beak out".

Such a strange place.

These posters have often not mentioned their birthday in the weeks leading up to it. It seems like some of them are playing games and are hoping people forget so they can whinge and gain sympathy on here. Twats. Obviously not everyone and some people are just surrounded by arseholes who make no effort.

Babla · 11/12/2023 00:49

Oh and don't forget the entire NHS is misogynistic and cancer screening is bullying

Spencer0220 · 11/12/2023 00:49

Thank you @Headshoulderscheeseontoast, but 🤢

DeeCeeCherry · 11/12/2023 00:50

Lots of people speak of their dogs as if they value them more than their own children

If your H has a female friend & ends up in her bedroom you're uncool and insecure for not liking it - they're mates so anything goes. Shut up.

No-one can be an unkind angry bullying so n so anymore, they've got to be diagnosed by MNers (who have zero medical expertise or qualifications) as ADHD, ND, Autistic - aka SN all have these bad traits don't they
