According to recent threads:

Everyone over the age of about 35 looks way younger, constantly mistaken for younger, doesn't have a line on their face yet despite never using suncream, and their nan only used bin juice on their face and smoked 80 fags a day but had beautiful skin at 103 years old.

Everyone had sex with their complete stranger dp within about 4 seconds of meeting them for the first time, their dp moved in that night and never left and they're coming up to 762 years of happy marriage now.

Everybody on here seems to earn 200k in some mysterious job that doesn't seem to exist, they can't quite explain what they do, but they worked their asses off to get to this level of seniority which involves them working 3 hours a week for 2 weeks a year.

Interested to hear any more.

If you're an INCEL you can start an anti-woman thread and a surprising number of people will agree with you.

Eh?

GoonDog · 29/12/2023 12:59

That all solicitors give you a consultation, which is half hour of their time, for free.

@thelastrose 😂😂😂😂

That to some people it's heresy to suggest that any moment of parenting, even the shitty parts, is anything other than untrammelled joy.

Some pretty shitty comments about neurodivergence and SN on this thread. The likes have mumsnet have been incredibly helpful for me in recognising the signs of ADHD and getting a formal diagnosis, and in seeing the signs of potential neurodivergence in my DC (who are awaiting diagnosis).

It’s great that people can find better understanding of ND and SN via forums like this, share their experiences and find support. Women particularly are under diagnosed so it’s particularly important for us to read about the experiences of other women and how it impacts their lives.

Sorry that some people seem to find it tedious or lacking in credibility.

Everyone has a dishwasher. I don't, I hate them!

Everyone's had the jabs! Not me!

A man only has to wave and say good morning or be helpful and he's a complete bastard.

A large amount of posters hate dogs and teach their children to hate dogs.

A large amount of posters idolise Taylor Swift and Harry Styles, both who are in my opinion truly dreadful people.

There's a lot overweight posters. Some excessively so.

Anything specifically women related such as being pregnant, giving birth and the menopause are all horrific things that make women unbearable suffer.

HRT is blindly taken without any effort to make lifestyle changes first.

Children must not be taught to be independent and must not be left home alone or walk by themselves to school until they are 24.

Promiscuity is encouraged.

You have obviously never been through the menopause, for some we do suffer, horrendously so.

Too many opinionated people who say things but have no idea what people actually go through.

Weddings are rubbish, attention seeking nonsense that are not worth the time and expense of attending. Avoid at all cost.

Also, no mumsnetters husband watches porn because they have declared themselves as feminists and feel that all porn is evil.

Haha, yes to both of these.

That you can always stop your children travelling overseas, you just need to be willing to protect them!!

This frustrates me, as a civil servant who has worked with migration systems. There are a lot of exceptions to this rule, but OPs are bashed about the head for not caring enough if they express fear that their husband may take the children overseas and not return them.

Some countries don’t require the written permission of two parents to give a child a passport, for example.

And HM Passport Office and Border Force can’t put a flag that a child might be removed from the country against a parents wishes unless there is proof of this being a risk. It’s just not really workable for every child and would leave the government massively open to legal challenges.

But on any thread about this, OPs are castigated for not getting a flag on the passports immediately and / or destroying the passports and / or preventing the kids from getting any other passports.

AngryBirdsNoMore · 29/12/2023 19:28

Oh, and add to that - every Muslim ex-husband wants to take the kids to their home country (even if husband is British…) and not return them.

Learning how to spot mansplainers on random threads - I can see them coming a mile off now, and I'm currently refraining from telling one to STFU on another thread this evening 😂

I get this, having had a man explain to me that a tampon won’t full out if l don’t wear knickers in bed during a period 😂.

The most common sense answers to a thread are in the first five responses and then it’s all downhill from there and the last couple of pages are just two mumsnetters slagging each other off until someone claims the thread has been derailed. OP is nowhere to be found.

🤣🤣

No one answers the door unless they know who it is and they have pre arranged their visit.

DH is a fucking nightmare for this.
I go to bed quite early to read/watch TV/scroll MN.
DS1 and DS2 are usually holed up in their rooms.
Someone will knock on the door, DH will get up, walk into the hall (where the front door is) and shout up the stairs “is anybody expecting someone”
Just answer the fucking door!! Drives me mad!!

Maighnuad · 31/12/2023 12:42

That all dog owners are lovely responsible types who always pick up after their dog. An astonishing discovery, as it means that there must be some other explanation for the piles of shit dotted all over our pavements!

Btw, I don’t mean to detract in any way from the fact that most dog owners are responsible and pick up, it’s just that there is a significant number of total wankers out there, whose anti-social tendencies are off the scale, and I do wish just one of them would admit to it.
