Do you sleep naked?

Was chatting with my friend and I mentioned how I sleep naked, she found this completely shocking which I found quite funny tbh 😂 so just wondered if I’m in the minority or not.

She thinks I’m crazy because I sleep with an electric blanket on but have my fan blowing on my face for example. It was her reaction to it that just made Me laugh, she was completely aghast 😂

Maybe think about global warming and your energy consumption and put some pyjamas on instead !

I wear pj’s only when it’s really cold - otherwise it’s just too hot!

I usually do, if I do wear anything to bed it's a tshirt or a bottoms, my bottom and top half are never covered at the same time, I get too hot

People saying what would you do if you sleep naked but had to get up quickly in the night - I just have a dressing gown hanging on the back of the bedroom door. It’s not an insurmountable problem.

I sleep naked when it's hot but not otherwise; I like to be warm!

DH never sleeps naked, even on the hottest nights he's still in his pyjama shorts. My parents on the other hand always sleep naked regardless of the weather.

I did have a friend at school who thought it was disgusting I didn't wear knickers under my pyjama bottoms 🤷

I sleep naked. I get very cold during the day as I’m underweight and for some reason not wearing clothes seems to transfer the heat to the duvet and blankets and I get warm. When I’m with DP we are often naked just so we can have a really close cuddle (skin on skin doesn’t just work for babies and parents) and again, so he can transfer some heat to me. He will just hang around naked in the day if there’s no chance anyone will see him as well. This country has a strange attitude to nudity.

Agree we have a strange attitude to nudity.

DH always sleeps naked and I usually do.

We have a lovely warm wool duvet and wool mattress topper too, so don't need clothes in bed, even when it's cold, and it's nice to snuggle up together.

I sometimes wear PJs if it's really cold, just so I'm not freezing when I get up to wee in the night, which I always do. Or at the point when it's starting to get colder but we haven't switched over from the summer duvet yet.

Seems like a waste of resources.
I'm too cold in winter to sleep naked. We don't keep our heating on overnight. I just wear a nightie though. I find pyjamas too warm.

I used to for years, until a friend asked what I'd do if someone broke in or the house caught fire and you needed to get out quickly

I know the chances of those two things happening are slim but I couldn't shake the thought and I've always worn something since, even just pants and a vest

If absolutely necessary, run out naked, hardly going to be arrested for it under those circumstances and imagine a neighbour might pop out with some clothes for us.

Even in summer I wear pj bottoms and a long sleeved top. Last night I wore a jumper over and bed socks.

Yes for as long as I can remember. Get far too hot in pjs or a nighty.

I just find clothes really uncomfortable, think I have sensory issues in general tbh -hate clothes, tags, loud noises. But yeah i have to be utterly freezing to wear pjs, now I have my electric blanket I don’t have that issue thankfully 😂😂 I’d live in my pjs during the day if I could though. I have a hooded blanket on my bed so if I need to get up in the night I quickly thow that on. My friend was like what about burglars, but I guess that nakedness would be the least of my worries in that situation tbh! 😂

DH sleeps naked and would love it if I did but it's not for me. Feels too cold and vulnerable. Unfortunately it means I'm the one who lets the dogs out and answers the door in the mornings as he has the excuse of being undressed. I'm bundled up in bed with t shirt, pj bottoms, thick socks and a lambswool v neck plus electric blanket on

Never sleep naked.
If I ever need rescuing in the night I don't need a fireman to whip back the duvet and say "I ain't touching that" 😂😂

no eew. i'd have to wash my covers every day it's not hygienic. i also have to sleep with pants on. Apart from fact i've got 3 kids i also have a toddler in bed with me.

I used to until I moved into a crumbling old house which is perpetually freezing and now I sleep in a fleece 🤣

I used to, but since DC I need to wear a sleep bra. DH isn't impressed with this 😂
If it's cold I wear a nightie, don't like my legs restricted.

I’ve slept naked since my mid teens. Sister the same. I’m not comfortable wearing anything in bed. Only exception is wearing knickers for the first few days of a heavy period.

@itsgoingtobeabumpyride just saying, but when I needed resuscitation in hospital neither I nor any of the men who ran in to the room when the code was called gave a damn that my unshaven self was wearing a hospital gown with no underwear and a central line (I think) right at the top of my femoral artery (or vein, it was right next to my genitals anyway).

I'm pleased all turned out OK for you. At a time like that I couldn't care less what state I was in.

Never, regardless of the weather. I can't get to sleep if I'm not wearing anything - it feels wrong! Not morally wrong Grin, just wrong in a sensory way!

I've always slept naked. I just can't get comfortable in Pjs. Even a vest top will get on my nerves. I have a few sensory issues though.
