Ryanair new fee

I don't fly with them but feel out of fairness to anyone who does, you should be warned.

We need a modern Consumer Act to end such behaviour, at least at short notice.

Ryanair plane

It's not weird at all when you think about it.

They want to charge people for extra stuff so their cheap air fares are not so cheap.

So once everyone is avoiding the cost of checking in at the airport by checking in online, they have to switch it up and make people pay to check in online.

I was reading elsewhere that a possible reason behind this move is to curb the Non Seat Payers from checking in at the last minute. Yep, apparently if you don't buy a seat and check in very close to the flight (as late as allowed) then your chances of getting a premium seat are high. So you might not pay for a seat but there is no option for Ryanair but to assign you unsold premium seats such as exit and front rows if that's all that's left unsold.

That's what I read anyway.

What fucking difference does it make?

A seat is a seat.

This is what I do but the rule change won't start making me pay.

I'll take my chances that the queues won't be too bad as the majority of others have paid for seats which already seems to be the case (based on the priority vs non priority queues when boarding).

A seat is a seat.

The difference is the amount of legroom.
