To think this is my queue to move out now

After several years of renting and no plan for the future, I tell my boyfriend we need a plan and he says 'I don't know what to say.'
I'm usually the one doing all the work so he sees I'm upset then reluctantly looks at flats for all of 5 minutesethen gets bored.
I ask him hypothetically if he could see himself living with me in another 5-10 years and he sighs and says.. I don't know.. it's hard to say.
The saving grace is that our lettings agency phoned yesterday and said that we never actually signed our tenancy back in September, so technically they're only owed a month's notice.

And this reminds me of a story...

A man is driving along and sees a petrol station with a sign advertising fuel and also fruit. "We sell apple's, pear's and grape's."

He stops, fills up, goes in to pay and tells the business owner, "By the way, you've misused apostrophes on your sign."

The shopkeeper smiles and says, "I know. Do you know how many people stop and fill up to tell me that?"

No. It’s anything but hilarious. And you’re not poking a little fun, you’re having a go at a poster trying to put an end to the silliness around the spelling mistake which was starting to derail the thread. It really doesn’t matter whether people posted in criticism or defence of the OP’s ‘mistake’ - she’s long gone. Yet another OP chased off her own thread because posters can’t resist pointing out irrelevances and going completely off topic in order to swipe at others. Which is what this poster was pointing out - you may have taken issue with the language they used to do it, but it doesn’t make them wrong.

The pedantic posts are annoying but no more so than the many posts where the poster lectures the OP over her failure to “sit down with her boyfriend really tell him what you want.” These are the posters whi chastise the OP for asking for opinions on the instead of just dealing with her boyfriend. There is often an assumption that the woman posting is impulsive and that her issue could be worked out if she just took more time with the boyfriend. I try to respect the OP enough to assume she has done what she needs to do before coming to AIBU or, at any rate, that she can make up her iwne mind about what conversations to have IRL

Sadly the flat won't be happening :( it was owned by live-in landlords who told me that guests aren't allowed, also 1 bathroom between 5 rooms. It's a shame but ah well!
He's texting me acting normal and chatty, I told him I'm still upset.

Ok so whilst you will be disappointed that place wasn't what you hoped it would be, you got yourself out there and viewed somewhere.

So keep looking, you have this weekend of freedom to contact rental agencies and look elsewhere that rentals are advertised. You may even be able to arrange a viewing tomorrow for somewhere.

Haha, I say to ONE woman to speak to the real person she’s actually in a relationship with, make up her own mind and if it’s the end for her or to continue: her choice. Meanwhile the more daft among us hears: So you’re saying all women, everywhere, at all times must stay and suffer in bad relationships, women deserve more!!!!!!! Thick as mince sometimes.
