I love all eye colours. Mine are turquoise. Brown eyes are lovely, my son has brown eyes.

I had a friend with the darkest brown eyes I've ever seen- it's hard to see the pupil.

Under magnification, they are the most beautiful amber colour- my fave I've seen!

Funnily enough, the thing I don't like about my eyes is that they're so deep-set! I like the colour, but they're very deep-set, especially when I'm tired, and I have virtually no eyebrows! I think I look a bit like an alien when I'm very underslept! A blue-eyed alien. I think many of us have features we'd happily swap...

Thank you for giving me a smile early on a Sunday morning.....I'm sure you don't really look like the blue eyed alien that my over active imagination has conjoured up! Aren't we all our own best critics?

I’ve got very blue eyes and have wanted brown eyes all my life, swap?

@DewinDwl its been documented white blonde kids get treated better, white blonde blue eyed women being protected more, treated better, more police resources allocated for them, better maternity and medical outcome...

We want the best for our children, if they pull the genetic lottery card out where they are likely to be treated better why wouldnt a parent feel relieved? Racism is abhorrent but dismissing advantage to looking typically white is like saying i dont see colour to dismiss racism and prejudice. It gaslights reality.
For example in Italy, darker Southern white Italians, tanned dark eyes and hair are discriminated against due to colourism and xenophobia.

I dont personally think brown eyes are automatically ugly nor do I think blue eyes are automatically pretty but blue eyes do open up doors and you do get treated better for having them.

Nice windup by OP who hasn't returned.

IceAndLemonPlease · 19/11/2023 09:04

I have bright blue eyes but am very ugly other than that. Nice eyes don’t equal beauty if everything else isn’t attractive in my opinion.

I absolutely love my dark brown eyes. They go amazing with my olive skin and make me feel connected to my Mediterranean heritage. I do have a thing for blue eyes though. DS has the palest blue eyes and DP has blue eyes that change colour with his mood. So all eyes can be beautiful and fascinating if you take the time to really look.

Must say that although I love my dark brown eyes and long curled lashes I do get endless comments on one of my sons bright blue eyes. They are luminous and the lucky sod also got my dark eyelashes. One of his older brothers though has been called "ridiculously good looking" since he was about 1yo ; but he has dark brown eyes. I think extreme attractiveness is really a package where all the parts work together. Some people have it. Most of us don't. :(

I have nearly black hair and very ‘cold’ eyes. Basically, you can always be told you look bad. I’ve always wanted the dark eyes to match my hair and tanned skin tone, velvety dark brown eyes. Instead I have that very colourless blue, not a pretty blue, I look dead eyed 🤷‍♀️

I know it's in the eye of the beholder but I like that combination. Actor Rob James-Collier looks stunning with his black hair and slate grey eyes and that "Black Irish" sort of complexion that is alabaster in winter and slightly olive in summer. I have a bit of a thing for that combination.

I've just seen Regé-Jean Page on the Armani ad 🔥

YABVU dark brown eyes are stunning and unusual.

Try boring old blue(/grey)! The most common in this country!

Nothing wrong with blue eyes!

Cornettoninja · 19/11/2023 15:48

Brown eyes are beautiful! From the darkest to the lightest it’s a very warm approachable colour and velvet is the perfect description for them.

truth be told I don’t think there is an undesirable colour for eyes, I think people find their own ‘boring’ because they see them so much!

mine are hazel leaning towards green. I was fairly disappointed my dd didn’t inherit my dads or her dads blue eyes but in all honesty neither were/are a particularly striking blue so it would’ve been more of a nod towards blue over any particularly striking feature. As it is her eyes are a sort of mottled brown and utterly gorgeous in my very biased opinion.
