To tell you the Scottish Govt are targeting 18 year old girls for egg harvesting

Yes, really.

Surrogacy Concern broke the news on Friday night. I can’t actually believe it.

Over a month to come, the Scottish Govt are asking for egg and sperm donors as young as 18 to come forward in a series of targeted ads on social media and the radio. They’ve expanded IVF provision and - in their own words - have a supply and demand issue.

I’d heard of fertility clinics advertising (bad enough in my view) but for a national Govt to do this to women is staggering. Women can die from complications arising from OHSS, which can be caused by egg donation. A British woman died in 2006 as a result.

The ads don’t mention these risks; it’s all “be kind” “do something amazing”. I cannot actually believe a Govt could be this stupid. They’ve only just apologised for forced adoption!

Are you, or do you just identify yourself as one?

If your ideology requires you to believe that "identity" trumps material reality and observable behaviour, then Matt Walsh (spit) and Andrew Tate (spit) can claim to be feminists.

In reality, feminist is as feminist does.

As recently as the nineties polling showed that the majority of people believed that it was morally wrong to be gay, and the moral panic around AIDS set the gay rights movement back, but 30 years later look how far we've come. There may have been some deliberately manufactured moral panic about trans people, and that may have had some impact, but the younger generation see things differently, and in 30 years time the arguments you are making will be seen as completely archaic.

False equivalence. Gay people took nothing away from women. Gay men went to the males facilities. Not the females. Nice try though.

It isn't 'moral panic' when women HAVE been raped by transwomen in womens facilities. And, I hate to disappoint you, but evidence shows the trans cult is dying out and more and more young people are waking up and seeing the evidence. In 20 years time when the cult has lost it's appeal, and women re-win our rights to our sex-based rights and spaces, that women and girls were treated so badly by men and handmaidens will seem archaic. With lawsuits after lawsuits and change in government policy, our side is winning. Your side, is losing. Get the hint.

Very droll. I suppose I just identify myself as one, as there is no one defining characteristic for any facet of our identity. Literally all identities are complex and socially defined.

There were many movements when young generatiom saw things differently which died out over years. Making a prediction based on one data point is laughable.

I hope that in 30 years transgender will not be a thing, that all people born male and, female will feel free to wear any clothes they wish without feeling a need to invade opposite sex's provision. And that potential exceptions, who do feel a thrill in doing it, will be stopped.

Literally no one is harmed by gay people having civil rights. There is no conflict between straight marriage and gay marriage, straight adoption and gay adoption, etc. Nothing is taken from straight people by letting gay people have it too. Straight people don't suddenly need to self-exclude from a gym on religious grounds because a gay person walks in.

Whereas, if a male of any gender identity is allowed into the female-only gym, all the orthodox Jewish women and Muslim women, who are not allowed to wear typical sportswear around unrelated men because it doesn't cover them enough, must leave. They lose out, the gym is effectively taken from them. Trans people demanding access to opposite-sex spaces causes members of the opposite sex to lose out.

Pretending that gender critical beliefs are equivalent to gay panic is a logical fallacy called a "false comparison".

That's certainly not what the links provided here show, or any other evidence I've seen.

I actually don't spend much time thinking about or fighting for trans equality, though I believe in it. I'm much for focused on my fight against infertility and on creating my family at the moment. But I wish luck to those who do fight for equality, and have faith in the younger generations, and that decency will prevail. You carry on getting yourself all worked up though. We'll see if your fight generates any tangible results once the current far right government get booted out next year. In the country where I live the right have tried and so far failed to exploit the trans issue too. But time will tell.

If you are so disturbed by simply seeing a penis then you need therapy.

Jesus fucking christ.

An apologist for indecent exposure. How vile.

Indecent exposure is when it's done deliberately to intimate or obtain sexual gratification. Not just having a penis that is visible to another person, in a space designated for people to change in.

Then you clearly haven't read the links (which I predicted) because they are police reports and judge reports, and one is a POLICE BULLETIN. So you're lying. Oh I think decency will prevail, and the toxic hateful misogyny and bigotry you are perpetrating will not be a thing, once your cult loses it's appeal. Heck, even LABOUR are now making concessions because the overwhelming roar of women, the sheer numbers and volume of women outraged, are forcing even them to change. Which proves, we are the majority. It's only a minority of toxic meninist cultists propagating Toxic Masculinity, and outside of social media they are an ever-decreasing minority.

Wintersun9 · 08/11/2023 12:56

Off topic but it is being discussed in respect of the transgender community. I've no issue with transgender & I believe the people who suffer this are in the vast majority of cases genuine. I do have a huge issue with unisex toilets. I could go on & on with reasons but to cut to the chase I'll just add the whole concept is disgusting. You could argue toilets at home are unisex. This is totally different to women having to worry about a man in the next cubicle listening to them dealing with periods, or in the case of my friend who had a sudden out of the ordinary 'flood' She ended up in tears realising she couldn't shout for help from a fellow woman to be provided with extra loo roll as there were men outside chatting at the sinks. This is abhorrent, unacceptable & I despair of it happening in schools now too. What next that will take away our basic rights as women?

But answer my question. How am I to know it’s not being done for the sexual gratification of the man? I have no way of knowing whether he’s a trans identifying man or just some pervert who knows the woman is trapped and cannot speak out without being branded a ‘terf’. It’s sickening.

The intent doesn't matter. Exposing a penis to women and girls IS indecent exposure. And as evidence shows, these Autogynephiles get off on being in womens spaces, even getting sexually aroused. Any man (transwoman) who seeks to enter womens sacred safe, single-sex spaces IS doing it deliberately to obtain not just sexual gratification, but to intimidate women. The fact that it is a female-only space, designed to give women privacy and dignity, just just safety, makes men (transwomen) exposing himself in our spaces far, far WORSE than a man in a trenchcoat in public.

Yes, in one of my links, the boys at the school in gender neutral toilets were kicking down the doors and taking photos of girls on the toilet, and, kicking used pads and tampons around. Like as if no one predicted this would happen.

Sueveneers · 08/11/2023 13:04

I was going to post these, then decided not to. But, since we're moving in this direction;
I know she will dismiss this as she will dismiss everything els, even police bulletins to defend the cult but if even one other woman (or man) sees these and finally gets it, it's worth it.

Edited

Labour are saying lots of things in their desperation to get elected. They are pretending to support Brexit. No one believes they mean it. I'm not familiar with much of your made up terminology. I'm not on social media, only joined mumsnet because of fertility stuggles, and never go on those threads because I consider them a sewer and not worth my time. I simply believe in trans rights in a very passive way, and hope to see them prevail. I was active in the actual feminist left before I left the UK, but unlike you I spend very little time these days engaging with such issues. Maybe that's not to my credit, but I have other priorities. But you'd have a hard time calling me part of a social media cult, as I'm not on social media and thus this is literally the first time I've ever discussed these issues online. I've discussed them a lot in real life, both in my political circles and with people who are in no way politically active. I've never met a single 'gender critical' person, and the YouGov link someone posted shows that most people are simply not engaged with this issue. It's a small minority working themselves up into a lather. And it's bearing some fruit for now but I doubt that will last.

I've used women's toilets at the same time as trans women while I had my period, including at feminist political gatherings, if you can believe it.😱I'd have no problem asking them for help if needed, but nor would I have any problem asking a cis man. Or are periods only to be spoken about with people who also have them? Are they a shameful secret? Who is that coy in the 21st century?

Sueveneers · 08/11/2023 13:16

But you clearly don't believe in womens rights. Most women are Gender Critical, we are just careful who we talk to in public. But if you ask women whether women should have single sex spaces and spaces away from male bodies? 99% would say yes. Which is why, when women become aware of what is happening, they can't 'unsee' it, and realise the enormous abuse that is happening to women.

I should know. I am an ex-Gender Cultist. I got out of the cult. I repeated Trans Women Are Women like a brainwashed parrot. In reality, I had absolutely no idea what I was saying. Or what the logical conclusion and actual consequences were. I was so BRAINWASHED! I thought I was #BeingKind. Until I saw our safe spaces erased, our language erased, all our human rights erased and the drastic increase in transwomen raping women and assaulting them, and reading news articles. I was horrified. I did not want to 'know'. But there came I time I could no longer deny the reality and truth even to myself. I now work hard every day to undo the damage I did, and to protect womens basic human rights.

The boys and girls toilets are housed in the same block. Before, they were separate blocks.
