Settle an argument - what sauce on what meat?

Been out in the cold all day watching DS at a football tournament. Back home and the general consensus was bacon/sausage sandwiches for tea. The circle of piss argument ensues. DH thinks I'm a heathen for having brown sauce on a bacon sandwich. According to him, it's brown on sausage and red on bacon. I say it's the other way round - who's right, him or me?

I know some people prefer tomato sauce and some brown sauce, but I have never come across anyone that thinks one goes better with sausage and the other with bacon. It is just a preference. I usually go for brown on both bacon and sausage.

Thick white bread with a bit of a crust
Good, even layer of butter
Tomato ketchup spread thinishly on both slices of bread
Two well done sausages straight from either, the frying pan or the oven, sliced in half lengthways and carefully placed on prepared bread.
Top layer of bread placed on top & gently squished (but not too much) on top of sausages.
Try not to scoff to quickly 😛

However, in the unlikely event that there are cold leftover sausages in the fridge, the procedure is exactly the same EXCEPT it must be a thinish layer of Daddies sauce.

though sausages & actual tomatoes are nice together, ketchup is wrong, mustard is perfect but for a sandwich it has to be brown

technically a good bacon sandwich doesn’t need any sauce tbh but red over brown if you must.

Traditionally it’s brown sauce with bacon and tomato ketchup with sausage. However, it’s really just whatever you like. Brown sauce is a bit vinegary and ketchup is great.
