Settle an argument - what sauce on what meat?

Been out in the cold all day watching DS at a football tournament. Back home and the general consensus was bacon/sausage sandwiches for tea. The circle of piss argument ensues. DH thinks I'm a heathen for having brown sauce on a bacon sandwich. According to him, it's brown on sausage and red on bacon. I say it's the other way round - who's right, him or me?

Brown sauce (pref HP) on bacon, Branston Pickle on sausages (yes really - don’t knock it until you try it!)

Brown sauce is vile, but I'm pretty sure there were bacon and brown sauce crisps at some point which indicates it's a thing.
Good thick cut bacon, nice bread and proper butter doesn't need sauce, supermarket loaf, bog standard bacon and clover light, tomato sauce for me.
I don't think I've ever had a sausage sandwich, not massively keen on them other than in a bangers and mash or sausage and bean cassoulet type scenarios.

The unspoken enemy here is calling it "red sauce." It's tomato ketchup.

Brown on both unless there's an egg. No sauce on eggs ever for me. I won't order a cooked breakfast out if there's a risk of beans touching the egg.

If I have something like chicken nuggets or chips I prefer mayonnaise with those.

When I very occasionally get a ketchup craving it has to be chippy ketchup when it's runnier and more vinegary. But only on chippy chips.

This has made me laugh as only last week DS1 asked me "who even eats it?" when we saw brown sauce in the supermarket.

I'll obviously have to tell him, "Northerners"!

Ketchup all day long for me, with a bit of Tabasco sauce added if it's a fried egg sandwich.

This. And mayonnaise for chips. Red sauce has no place on anything in my book.
