Settle an argument - what sauce on what meat?

Been out in the cold all day watching DS at a football tournament. Back home and the general consensus was bacon/sausage sandwiches for tea. The circle of piss argument ensues. DH thinks I'm a heathen for having brown sauce on a bacon sandwich. According to him, it's brown on sausage and red on bacon. I say it's the other way round - who's right, him or me?

100% agree, brown with everything. Red with nothing. And mayo with chips.

Nothing on bacon. Mayo or bbq on sausage.

Ketchup and crispy bacon is a marriage made in heaven.

Sausages want mustard, ideally nice crunchy wholeseed mustard. Mayo isn't awful.

Brown sauce is .... meh.

Either or neither sauce is fine on sausage and/or bacon. It's up to you. I'm a great believer in personal freedom like that.

However, no vinegar/sugar sauce whether red or brown should be in the equation if there's a fried egg involved. Personal freedom has to have limits.

Sausage has to be tomato, bacon could be either depending on mood.

Brown on sausage and bacon. You won't find red sauce in this house. Work of the devil that stuff.

Also: mayo with sausage?! What the hell? How much fat do people want to eat in one go? You'll be buttering croissants next. Heathens.

Dijon mustard on a sausage sandwich, no sauce at all on a bacon sandwich, but ideally a fried egg.

You need a slow cooker, bung everything in and it'll be ready after the football

home made cranberry sauce on both
or on ice cream, yoghurt or porridge

I did find cranberry ketchup earlier in the year, but it wasn't as nice as my own

Brown on half of the bacon sandwich and half naked bacon.

Surely it depends on what you like. I don't like brown sauce so it would have to be ketchup!

No rules with sauces in my opinion, I like brown and red mixed together - try it!

DH is right but I would not judge you for being wrong your choices.

I have no rules , sometimes I half the sandwich and have red on half and stokes brown on the other
