AIBU to be sickened by what Hamas terrorists have done to innocent Israeli citizens?

I am not totally familiar with the whole Israeli - Palestinian situation. I don’t think anything political can explain what has happened over the last few days.

It is utterly horrendous what Hamas has done. I also think that Hamas are no friend to the Palestinians. They are bringing wrath on them.

I have read that this is the worst attack on innocent Jewish people since the holocaust, which is horrifying.

I am struggling to process these recent events.

I am finding out more about it. I think you are prejudiced on the side of Palestinians. However I can’t see that you would have any reason to agree with Hamas’ slaughter of innocents, which will also cause more trouble for Palestinians?

We were told on the other thread that before the British left they offered a two state solution more than once. The Jews accepted it, the Arabs refused it because they didn't want the Jews living there to get a state as well. Are you saying that's false?

And are you really saying that Hamas have changed their minds since their founding charter, which said:

I would guess the Egyptians are also horrified by Hamas. I can’t see they would have any issue with helping innocent civilians.

The funny thing is that until yesterday I was also unaware that the Jews were also 'already there'. And actually had been for centuries, possibly from the beginning in many cases. They had lived alongside the Arabs but as second-class citizens post the Islamic conquest under Islamic dhimmitude laws. Yellow stars were involved and all. That's one of the main reasons they wanted a state of their own, as their Arab - as in muslim - neighbours would surely have known. So I'm not at all sure why you're laughing.

I'm not interested in what the Brits did anywhere else. Two states was and is a good solution.
