To intensely dislike Keir Starmer

1000 replies

LemonyTicket · 27/09/2023 00:42

I can't stand Tories.
The current Tories are the worst

But I still intensely dislike Keir Starmer and will probably vote Green.

I find him phony, with no vision, like a terrible 6th form prefect. And to be honest his whole front bench are dreadful. Wes Streeting nauseates me.

Is it just me?

Sadly you don’t get to
choose.

It'll be May. Betcha.

It'll be interesting to see what happens in terms of the timing of a GE. The last local elections were devastating for the Tories. I'm in Suffolk, which is a Tory bastion if ever there was one. The Tories held all three councils. After the elections, they held none - one was won outright by the Greens, in the other two the Tories lost enough ground that the councils ended up run by coalitions between Green, Labour and Independents. I was pleasantly surprised. I'm not at all sure the Tories can afford another loss on that scale and retain any kind of credibility, insofar as they have any left.

A mere protest vote.

Seaitoverthere · 29/09/2023 18:24

My money is on May too as Sunak has gone into election mode and suddenly there are a steady stream of pro Conservative posters who big them up and have a go at Labour. Same pattern as the last few elections.

bombastix · 29/09/2023 18:25

May or September at the latest. September gives a little more time. Later than that and people stay at home.

BIossomtoes · 29/09/2023 18:26

I think I’m going to see what odds the bookies are offering on a May election and stick a fiver on.

I was trying to find that, but could only find odds for year, not month. Labour 1/10 to win though, Tories 4/1🤭🤭🤭

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Now who to believe - you, or the polling organisation that keeps getting it right?

Lastchancechica · 29/09/2023 18:37

I believe that the average English person won’t usually share their voting tendencies with anyone.

Well you’re not backward in coming forward.

pointythings · 29/09/2023 18:41

Oh, there'll be shy tories. The polls will undoubtedly tighten. But this far? I doubt it.

That’s what I think, Labour are going to get in.

A very good point, I believe they've got it right every time since 1868.

We have a year to go, the GE is not next week 🙂

I'm sure Sunak can screw it up even more over the next year. 😉

I worked for an internationally known polling company. Accepted belief, 'trust the bookies'.

Starmer is a foul featureless block of wood better suited to a career checking health and safety regulations or such like, and has nowhere near the gravitas and decisive ability required to be a Prime Minister.

Johnson? Truss? 😂😂😂😂😂

Lastchancechica · 30/09/2023 09:34

Johnson is a huge personality even his detractors agree with that!!

No gravitas or decisive ability though. Trump’s a huge personality too, they’re both buffoons.

Lastchancechica · 30/09/2023 09:41

Starm is very unpopular. Nearly 60% on MN agree

He's ahead in both party polling and Best PM polling.

Sunak is even less popular.

DuncinToffee · 30/09/2023 09:45

Johnson is a liar and rule breaker who had to resign because he appointed a known sex pest

But Keir had a beer
