AIBU to think... 'here we go again?'

Anyone watching? I've always said 'innocent until proven guilty' but also 'there is no smoke without fire'.

Having been sexually assaulted myself, one of the stories seem so similar to mine.

What's your thoughts?

This is the most confusing post, I know. I just don't know how I feel.

I have to disagree. It’s a poor attempt to belittle someone else’s very reasonable and balanced point of view.

So why do you think 'they' have just increased his profile and sent thousands more to his channel with this exposé that reinforces a conspiracy world view? How have they not noticed that Tate has not lost acolytes from his incarceration?
Honestly, if 'they' are that incompetent and silencing someone and don'tknow how social media works - you have nothing to fear from 'them'.

I’m not sure why you’re referring to the right to a fair trial. I don’t think anyone has suggested that the state should sentence him without one.

I hope they do and if found guilty, he is jailed for a very long time.

It seems many here have already found him guilty.

Im completely open to him being guilty. But I’d like to see that evidence presented fairly first.

No one here can find him guilty.

We don’t have the power to convict him or sentence him.

I must be interpreting the posts incorrectly then.

In that case, I guess we’re all on the same page.

The right to a fair trial means that you cannot be sentenced by the state without one.

It does not prohibit people from forming and expressing opinions.

But there are things that worry me. It’s now all over SM that the texts appear to be doctored/manipulated/falsified.

One very simple thing, that could be so without the Times or C4 having "lied" about anything, is that they could be incomplete. I don't mean each text edited, just that they could be part of a larger sequence which, when viewed in entirety, gives a different impression.

The media does shit like that all the time. I'm not saying that's what's happened - I have no idea and would prefer to base judgment on a properly balanced judicial process. But I agree with the pp that automatically assuming a television program is gospel truth is just ridiculously naive.

Well then, if he hasn’t yet been found guilty by the state, my opinion is as valid as anyone else’s and I reserve the right to be able to say it without being childishly mocked. I don’t think I’ve mocked anyone else.

Im not saying he didn’t do it. I’m not saying he’s a good person. I’m complete open to learning the truth either way.

Some Brand supporters appear to have created a doctored version of the screenshot of the text messages, to make it look like an obvious fake.

They are circulating the version they have doctored and claiming it as evidence that the texts are fake.

I’d rather not provide a link to it but it’s easily found.

He was living in the US, so may have been a US phone with US dictionary.

Because those messages were exchanged on the same day.

The top two were also exchanged on the same day.

This is why I’d prefer the police to do the investigation and not some journalists.

Time stamps only appear where there is a significant time gap between the two messages being sent (looking through my own iPhone, I think the cut off is around one hour).
