To ask if anyone else is just letting their DC get on with sorting going off to uni

I think I might be overdoing the benign neglect!

DD off to uni in a couple of weeks and we've not done an Ikea/Dunhelm haul. I've not taken her to the dentist/optician. I've not made up a "care package."

I'm not planning on doing a big food shop when we arrive at her accommodation- or making her bed up.

I'm not saying one way is right or wrong - but are other DC just getting on with it?

Didn't lift a finger for any of the DCs. All I did was to run them to Uni on the appointed day. All three of them. Seemed to work. They all survived and we got no panic stricken phone calls from any of them to supply something that had been forgotten.

I think it depends, mine took a year off and got a job and had more disposable income than I did, he was then able to keep his job but dropped to 20 hours . I only do 24 so he's still better off than me with loans etc

He did have a ctf that I'd been adding to so there's that but luckily he didn't need me buying everything
