Husband's Colleague- Leg Pic.

DH 38 was sent a holiday picture of very posed "sausage leg" type picture from female work colleague (late 50s). Right up to the bikini line. His response was "A bit jealous, but wait til I get to my room".
I think this reads a certain way.
What do you think?
For context, we were on holiday too in a very nice hotel that he had been bragging about to her in previous messages. He says he was just going to show her pics of our room.
He never did. Messages stop there.
My mum says it isn't suspicious and believes him as apparently pictures like this are common amongst her 50 year old friends.
My friend says it is suspicious as feck.

Aibu:
Yes- innocent messages.
No--suspicious messages.

Sounds like banter to me

LittleMonks11 · 04/09/2023 08:53

What's a sausage leg?

Any 'previous' for this kind of thing?

howsaboutit · 04/09/2023 08:54

First off - you presumably had suspicions before you read his messages or else you’d never have seen this, what prompted you to read his messages?

KimberleyClark · 04/09/2023 08:56

Your DH sounds sleazy tbh.

PeaceGoodMercutio · 04/09/2023 08:56

I left my phone in said hotel. Been using his until hotel sent it back a few days ago.

PeaceGoodMercutio · 04/09/2023 08:59

That kind of thing.

I would assume he was going back to the room to call her and "finish the conversation".

There's no way on earth I'd send that photo to anyone other than someone I have some kind of intimate relationship with. Lower legs/feet with the pool in the background photo I would send to friends (not colleagues), but upper legs/bikini line and that's the whole focus of the picture is a different thing entirely!

LittleMonks11 · 04/09/2023 09:04

I'm 52 and would not be sending sausage leg photos to a younger male work colleague. Urgh - the thought of it. The lady in the stock photo has much nicer sausages than me though.

BodenCardiganNot · 04/09/2023 09:05

Presumably she knows that you are using his phone?
Did you reply back to her?

Oysterbabe · 04/09/2023 09:06

That sounds dodgy as fuck.

I saw the messages a few days later when I was texting my mum on his phone. I saw the "wait until I get to my room" and alarm bells went off. So looked and there was this picture of her full leg/ up to the start of her bikini bottoms.

PeaceGoodMercutio · 04/09/2023 09:09

I didn't reply.
I asked him and he was very defensive and said he was just going to show her how nice our room was.
Which I think sounds like bullshit.

Was it a photo of her or a stock photo of legs on a beach?
I guess if he's been bragging about his luxury hotel then she might send him a photo like that? I can imagine doing that to a pal. But not a work colleague. So that might be innocent.

But his message back is weird and a bit creepy.

PeaceGoodMercutio · 04/09/2023 09:10

He's her boss, too. It is massively inappropriate.

Sorry dodgy, he was going back to the room to send a pic back or finish the convo. Sounds like he’s cheating on you, especially as he got so defensive. If he wasn’t the w guy get defensive ?

blahblahhhh · 04/09/2023 09:14

She sent him a pic of herself from the groin down to her feet?

Your DH replied wait until I get to my room?

I don't see how else you could take it.

Fair enough if he sent a similar photo of his legs and the view

OR if she had sent a pic of her room then he responded with that.

There must be some texts missing in between?

What's the jealous bit about?

maddening · 04/09/2023 09:16

It could read like he is going to his room for a wank.

It could also read as he is going to show off the fab room.

I have voted yanbu due to the lack of follow up photos of said room.

TheLongGloriesOfTheWinterMoon · 04/09/2023 09:16

Your husband is a sleaze. At best.

Your mother is wrong. Funnily enough, the 50 year olds I know don't feel any kind of urge to send inappropriate photographs to their bosses.

As above. Dodgy as fuck.

cocksstrideintheevening · 04/09/2023 09:17

Dodgy AF

GoodVibesHere · 04/09/2023 09:18

He was telling her that he was going to wank in his room bcos she's so gorgeous/turns him on. Ewww what a disloyal creep.

ToughFuss · 04/09/2023 09:22

Mm… if it was a photo fo the view or of her hotel, I think I’d probably lean into his excuse a bit more but you don’t send that sort of photo specifically to a colleague you’re just mates with, not up to your actual crotch/bikini, that’s just inappropriate. Given that context, his answer is damning. I’m very sorry!!

longwayoff · 04/09/2023 09:22

He's her boss? Massively inappropriate.

bjrce · 04/09/2023 09:24

OK, The colleague knows totally what she's doing and so does your "DH"

I would have texted her back to let her know you saw it - give her a shock. its totally inappropriate - if you can't see that you have a big problem with your DH.

Its an affair waiting to happen - if not already.

readingismycardio · 04/09/2023 09:25

Inappropriate as fuck, both sides. Why would a late 50s woman send a pic to a 38 yr old man who's also her boss?! Why would he even reply and not tell her this is inappropriate?
