Make up

Do you wear make up every day? I do...I know I look better and younger when I wear it and feel so much better. I know so many people who don't wear make up on a daily basis who look stunning when they put make up on to go out. Why wouldn't you want to look the best you can all the time? It doesn't need to take a lot of time...5 mins for basic eye liner..mascara.. blusher and lipstick...I have a friend in her 60s and if we go out she wears lipstick and mascara and looks 20 years younger! I also would wear make up if I'm just at home hanging out with my DP...I want to look my best for him. I find it baffling that people will do their hair and make up to go out with with work colleagues but don't do the same on a daily basis for their partner...

It wrecks your skin what eve people say.

It hasn’t wrecked mine after wearing it almost every day for 55 years. What wrecks skin is not removing it properly after each and every wearing.

I'm 33 I have 3 boys, 2 dogs a husband and work with children...I am not putting make up on everyday just because it pleases everyone else's eyes. If you don't like it look away! 😅

My husband is baffled by makeup - I had it done professionally once because I was part of a wedding party and he was like ‘soooo she’s covered up all your natural colouring and put fake colouring on top? Why?’ I do tint my eyelashes though. Don’t have time for anything else.

Is your husband not very bright generally?

It's a legitimate question though. It is fairly baffling to many of us

It would baffle me too. I match my make up to my natural colouring. Anything else is very bad makeup so I can see why you wouldn’t like it.

Is it, aye?

I wear make up because I want to. Do you and your husbands question why men wear the things they choose to, or is it just women who are subjected to this ‘bafflement’ (which I suspect isn’t really bafflement at all, just thinly disguised contempt).

It's odd when you think about it. Like loads of things. Like wearing ties or all sorts. I just understand why the question is asked and I don't think it suggests PP's husband is unintelligent
