Just for fun.

Mine is the woman who posted for advice about what to do about her husband who was talking to their cat really sensually. Not baby talk but like sensuous loving ”ooh your fur is so good my darling pussycat” and it gave her the absolute ick.

Every time I talk to my dog I remember her and chuckle. I wonder how she’s doing 😂

Anyone remembers the woman who showed up at a hen weekend with her husband and baby?

JoeyRamonesHair · 04/09/2023 18:07

Any post by @eatshitderek - I've always wondered exactly what Derek did to earn that 😃

If we're talking down memory lane. Cat Thief Keith RIP. I always looked forward to her contributions and was very sad when she died.

Yes. I miss her too. She was so entertaining. Far too young.

😂I remember this!

VeloVixen · 04/09/2023 22:24

The penguin on a bus (spoiler alert: not a penguin!) was great

I was the penguin (actually a guillemot) on the bus (actually land train) poster. I still laugh when I remember that day.

I don't think she did!

I suspect she false memoried it and there wasn't an ironing board in that flat in the first place.

You're admitting to this?? 😂

She posted recently, with yet another name change, she's still with him, he's just as bad if not worse, she's now 5 years older.

He's now trying to get her to have a baby with him, she's still trying to get away and recognises just how bad he is, but can't make that last step.

So sad 🤬😢😢

thats so sad i often think about her

Palindrone · 05/09/2023 00:18

Talking of the woman who smuggled a penguin (actually a guillemot) onto a train...

My teacher friend told me about a boy who concealed an actual baby penguin in his backpack after a school trip to the zoo...the staff were none the wiser until their bus got back to school and the boy's mum started freaking out.

In my friend's shoes, I couldn't have resisted a 'pick up a penguin' joke.

Has anyone said Rose Petel and her hamwidges?

I loved that thread, tho remember people getting fed up as a benign troll probably with a familiar writing style.

DS is quite fussy and I order his drive-through McDonalds like Rose Petel's hamwidge:

Bread
Mayo
Burger
Bread
Grin

I have laughed the most at Take a Break and also a woman who suspected her boyfriend was having an affair because she saw out of the corner of her eye messages on WhatsApp from someone called Bethany and he had written “you look beautiful”’

One helpful poster suggested in all seriousness that maybe it is a WhatsApp account for a cat and he was praising the beauty of said cat.

I cried with laughter when one MNer wrote very dryly “I very much doubt he is writing to a cat called Bethany to tell her she’s beautiful.”

My family still refers to Bethany the cat!

HeadacheEarthquake · 05/09/2023 07:33

The one where another school parent had WhatsApped her to ask her to stop sending her kid to school with pringles! Because her kid was getting jealous and upset

SgtCatherineCawood · 05/09/2023 07:52

@alargeoneforme @VeloVixen witnessed it, she wasn't the one who took it on the land train! I don't think anyone would admit to that 🤣

KatharinaRosalie · 05/09/2023 07:53

Does anybody remember the post where a woman was complaining about her tenants not paying rent - and a poster kept insisting in all seriousness that she should just gift the house to the tenants.

JustOneDD · 05/09/2023 08:27

ParrotsAteThemAll · 02/09/2023 18:34

The woman who was FB stalking her ex and his partner, she accidentally tagged herself on a photo of their new baby. I cried laughing at that.

This one 🤣 I also cried silently laughing at this one on a platform waiting for a train! And also the one where the OP fancied a colleague and he was telling someone his address over the phone in the office and she put it into google maps to see where it was and her phone went into directions mode and announced the address it was directing her to so everyone could hear!!!!

TheaBrandt · 05/09/2023 08:29

Those virtue signal ones were very funny. Op would post about something outrageous a random nutter had done and the crazies would launch into what they would have done in her shoes - poor nutter you should have cooked them dinner / invited them in / given them your house. Maybe they were having a bad day?!

A good example was an aggressive woman turning up at ops house angry about a voluntary activity her Dh was kindly running. She yelled at op and even then posters twisted it into poor random and mean op! Incredible!

Pastlast · 05/09/2023 08:40

The woman whose top household tip was to put wellies covered with dog poo in the dishwasher. I still shudder thinking about it.

a woman who’s put in a new fence and her neighbour painted the other side of it (the neighbours side) a different colour. She was outraged and aggressive to any poster who posted in support of the neighbour.

Batalax · 05/09/2023 08:58

Terry Wigan’s cock.

I can never unsee that.

Google it if you haven’t seen it - if you dare.

Yes and that's a recurring theme. Landlords are evil scum according to the bible of MN. They should be swallowing substantial losses because that's the right thing to do, apparently. No, I'm not a landlord.

It is illegal to paint ypur neighbour's fence though.
