This winter?

Seen a couple of people posting about it, tbf they are conspiracy types, but I have anxiety after having covid & long covid and can’t go through all that again. Can anyone reassure me?

I'm no conspiracy theorist (at least I don't think I am!), but I do think Avian flu will cause a new pandemic very soon...imminently soon. It's crossed over into seals, dolphins, whales, cats, rats and heaven knows how many more animals already. It so far hasn't mutated to jump from one animal to another yet outside birds, but with millions of birds dying worldwide, millions of animals eating the bodies of infected birds, with humans mass farming poultry...yeah...I don't see how this can end well.

Believing that Avian flu could become a serious risk to human health does not make you a conspiracy theorist. It is a possibility - although whether a vanishingly remote one or a significant one, I don’t know.

A conspiracy theorist would believe something like….. I dunno…. there is no possibility of avian flu posing a risk to human health. So if cases start being reported, they’re making more of it than is necessary to frighten more people into having an untested and unsafe bird flu vaccine. Even though if we DID need a human vaccine against bird flu, it would almost certainly be made in the same ways as the flu vaccines we already use.

You know the ones which maim children and cause them to grow 2 heads.

Only kidding.

(Or am I?)
