@Saschka “Even if they only set sail when her waters broke, they had ample time to get to St Lucia and get ashore if she actually wanted to do that. “

I don’t think that’s certain. When my waters broke, I wanted to push, there and then. That baby (my first and seconds are often quicker) was in my arms 2 hours later. For that 2 hours, I was labouring - and I would have wanted my husband to be with me for that, not sailing a boat! Especially if the practical set up meant I’d have been below deck so not even with him.

My contractions had only start 1 hour before. My husband was getting all stressy and telling me I had to get in the car. I couldn’t - I had to wait out each wave before walking again. Same at the hospital. I had several contractions leaning against the hospital corridor wall, just metres from my delivery suite. Unless paving husband, the midwife just calmly waited - she knew I couldn’t walk at the same time.

No matter how much I wanted a beach birth, if my own particular labour (from first contractions to waters breaking) had started on that boat - that’s where baby would have been born!

They are so losing their boat rental cleaning deposit though 🤣

But if he was at sea then he would need to keep sailing the boat! You can’t just stop. The only way to stop is to go to shore and drop anchor. Plus there is this amazing device on boats called a radio that he could have used to get assistance, or at least tell someone what was happening.

Then straight to land and get everyone checked out - easily within the 24 hour rule and babe would be registered as well. Very few questions asked as the radio communication provides a credible timeline.

None of this makes sense.

If there's anything online the media will have been aware of it before they decided to print the original story, they have to be careful what they print and when though.

Although unlikely, I'm hoping that the media are intentionally not giving it too much press because they realise the more they delve in, the more likely it is someone will bail them out and help them. And that's not what they want - instead Clive and Iuliia have dug themselves this hole and they can get themselves out. There's been a distinct lack of interviews or comments from family, friends, neighbours. Conspicuous by its absence. Maybe for once the media are just standing back and leaving them to it. They know the majority of the public will have no sympathy.

*The only reason I have doubts about the Freeman of the Land stuff, is that he isn’t banging on about it to anyone who’ll listen/trying to get himself in front of a judge to tell them he only follows Maritime Law.

If you meet a Freeman, they don’t usually leave you in any doubt. You usually have trouble shutting them up.*

Because shit got real.

They are literally trapped in a web of their own making. 'British High Commission' doesn't exactly fit in with'Freeman' ideals and there he is expecting them to bale them out.

These two couldn't line up two beers on a shelf.

Sorry don't buy this AT ALL. The lack of sympathy would be more reason.

What I wonder about is the lack of Go Fund Me.

But that's what I mean. The more publicity they give it, the more interviews with Child minding Auntie Katarina, the more photos of red-eyed upset 8 yr old missing her Mummy, the more "They're so lovely, Clive makes the best sponge cake" comments from Neighbours, then the more chance of a member of the public finding some sympathy and setting up the Go Fund Me page.

Maybe they tried, and just got a queue of neighbours saying “that fucker Clive still hasn’t given me my circular saw back! He claims contract law is a false law not a natural law, and it’s his now” 🤣

Yep I had thought about that too! Yuck! And then they stayed in this same blood-soaked cabin for three days? Really??

Yacht cabins are pretty small. Aside from anything else, the smell of stale blood would have been overpowering given the heat and humidity.

Maybe the natural waves and sea salt also disguise the smell?

They seem to make everything else ok in this couples eyes. It even gives a baby what ever citizenship you want without actual any proof of who it is!

Saschka, I'm in awe of your sleuth skills. Could you give me a pointer how you found the 8yr old birth details? I'm looking for a birth from 2012 and can't find anything since 2006. Could you possibly PM me if you don't want to post it publicly?

SeaToSki · 13/08/2023 10:55

So having rented a sailing boat in the Caribbean before (when you are your own skipper its called bareboating) there are lots of hoops to jump through before they let you sail hundreds of thousands worth of boat off into the sunset.

One or other of them would have had to have passed a captaincy or skipper course (not a commercial one, just recreational) and have had prior experience of crewing or captaining a boat that they could show. Then boats cost thousands a week to rent, albeit that March is not high season, its still popular with Americans on spring vacations, and they havent had to hand it back for the people who booked it after them?

So I am guessing that they borrowed a boat from a friend…..

Zero surprise when I read she was a yoga teacher!
(As a yoga teacher, I can say that!)

It's just frustrating that these two idiots are probably going to end up millionaires when Netflix snap up the rights! Won't lie, it would make an entertaining comedy! Bet Jason Statham's agent is already recieving calls to play for Clive 🤣

RedToothBrush · 13/08/2023 11:11

If Dave has gone by a pile of different names and then sticks his mug in the newspaper then I'm not sure how well that will go down.

We have established that he may have had a conviction for bad driving and may have been banned from racing.

And that this bullshit and one of his alias may suggest he has certain ideological beliefs.

If all of that is true and he holds the idea that he's not liable for x, y and z and the name changes are part of dodging liability, then a public gofundme (which potentially could be traced by the establishment) may also not fit with his beliefs and/or he might realise that getting a load of cash in his name might encourage people to 'reestablish lapsed relationships' shall we say.

You think Jason Statham is that desparate for work?!

Clive looks like one of those bodies they exhibit in museums to show what's under the skin of human beings.

Hmmm I wonder if he was a leaseholder on that flat that needed substantial building work on the building?

That'd potentially make for some pissed off neighbours.

Both of these weirdos have so little online presence it’s clear they were not doing this for some SM content. In fact apart from the electoral record/192 Iuliia/Yuliia doesn’t appear to have a digital footprint. Which is a bit odd for a yoga teacher. I wonder how her clients find her?

Clive was a fitness instructor at a council type facility back in 2017.

Neither appears to be involved in a fitness company (search of companies house although I guess they might do something else? Or just be self employed?)

I wonder where their money came from and why it has now run out?

Absolute selfish idiots. They aren’t ‘stranded’ victims, they caused this themselves. Their poor kids.

Yep, first name Elizabeth (named in the paper), mother’s maiden name Gurzhii, father’s surname Fitzpatrick, year of birth 2014 +/- 1 year. There’s only one hit, which is from Greater Manchester so must be her.

Would be much harder to find if Iuliia’s she name was Smith, or if they hadn’t put their daughter’s name and age in the article.

eish · 13/08/2023 11:35

I don’t think they did it for instagram as they don’t have online presence. I also don’t really believe the wilder suggestions of surrogacy etc. I just think between them they’ve both just got free love, flower power and incense smoke between the ears.

TiredArse · 13/08/2023 11:40

Do we have to let them back to the U.K.?
