What on earth were they thinking??

So they fly to country 1 - Mustique and pick up boat.
Plan to have baby on beach in country 2 - St Lucia but give birth on boat possibly in St Lucia waters but can’t prove it.
Turn up in St Lucia hospital 3 days later for a birth certificate. Told no. They try passport and consulate.
They then randomly decide to go to country 3 Grenada because of weather - surely staying put was best chance of sorting. Why Grenada there’s two nearer countries.
Then they complain about delay sorting.
It really is red flag central.

My sympathy -o-meter is struggling to even flicker.
I feel desperately sorry for those two kids having that pair for parents.

So how would it work giving birth on a beach, in St Lucia. It’s currently hurricane season and averaging 30 degrees with high humidity. Is the dads job to apply suncream or what? And what about all the sand? Just WTAF all round.

I'd love to know where the eight year old was born and whether it was a traumatic birth or she was denied a home birth for some reason.

Because they weren’t ever planning to give birth in St Lucia! They went to Martinique. But then they didn’t like the weather 🤷🏻‍♀️ so they bought / rented (?) a boat and set sail for Grenada. St Lucia only comes into the story cos her waters broke on water, nearest to St Lucia. Apparently.

I love that scary hurricanes have become part of their abandonment sob story 🤣

If it weren’t for the 8yo, I’d be loving this… the baby isn’t impacted so it’s just their own fyckwittery causing their problems.
I have a sneaking suspicion that the 8yo might be enjoying the break from them, but small children often love their parents despite them being fuckwits.

I read Rodney Bay St Lucia was planned birth beach. It looks nice, never been.
Baby born at sea, possibly in St Lucia waters.
They go to St Lucia hospital.
Then some time later decided to go to Grenada due to weather.
3 countries is going to raise suspicions and cause massive headache with paperwork.

Unless they have it for free, they'll probably want to give back that yacht soon if they're looking after the pennies.

I just feel sorry for the dc of these irresponsible people.
