Big bars of chocolate

I remember when I was a child, big bars of chocolate were a birthday or Christmas treat. Now they're so easy and cheap to come by, I can easily eat one in one go. Anyone else, or am I a disgusting pig?! (Just had dairy milk with Dime.....would recommend!)

Reprimanding? Seriously? It was a fucking joke 🙄

One square a day is enough!

That's either a sick joke or you're a monster.

I think they are still a 'treat' for todays children. It's only teens/adults who find them easy to come by and I think that has always been the case.

I agree.

As long as it’s the size of a paving slab.

Yep. I felt I was doing a wicked thing by introducing the concept of addictive Daim bars 😈

You should try the Daim Easter Eggs.

Such gluttony!

Looking at a picture of chocolate on my birthday is all that I can manage.

😂

A joke lost on so many chocolate lovers.

If I've got a good film or tv series on, I can easily polish off a big bar in a single sitting!

DrCoconut · 15/08/2023 11:06

@JauntyJinty there is sometimes a seasonal one that is ok but the classic all year rounders are may contain for wheat.

I clearly need to work on my willpower.

Ahh ok, I still eat stuff with the "my contain" warning as it's just about everything! Thanks for replying

I guess I should check more carefully though!

LaurieFairyCake · 15/08/2023 11:20

I have just eaten an ENTIRE bag of peanut M and M's (125g!)

But no to a big chocolate bar, I get the sugar sweats and feel sick

FedUpFanAnn · 15/08/2023 12:23

It might have been a joke from @GalileoHumpkins but I'm deadly serious! I honestly am happy with one square a day, and I'm not a freak or a weirdo, I just much prefer savoury food. Give me endless Toby carveries and I'm happy. Followed by one stick of a kit kat.

JauntyJinty · 10/08/2023 11:45

Oh I couldn't possibly mange an entire square - I use a cheese grater so I can split one over a fortnight

😂😂😂

I knew they were taking the piss but I'm same as you. I can have a penguin and that's enough but I could eat a bucket of crisps or nuts.
