Big bars of chocolate

JoRobyn · 10/08/2023 11:08

I remember when I was a child, big bars of chocolate were a birthday or Christmas treat. Now they're so easy and cheap to come by, I can easily eat one in one go. Anyone else, or am I a disgusting pig?! (Just had dairy milk with Dime.....would recommend!)

Well tonight I ate a whole pot of ben and jerrys and feel NO shame or remorse.

Gosh, even eating a regular sized bar of chocolate makes me feel sick! But I’m not into sweets really. I do get a craving now and then but 2-3 squares is more than enough! (I’m not being a competitive undereater, you should see how much savoury food I can devour 😂)

One square a day is enough!

Fuck off is one square enough!

I bet you're totally full of shite on one spear of asparagus.

I think you’ll find that post was tongue in cheek!

You can keep your chocolate, give me cake/brownies/icecream anyday instead!

Johnisafckface · 14/08/2023 23:41

I could easily eat one entire bar without hesitation. Luckily chocolate gives me heartburn these days so I have drastically limited my intake.

You’ll get loads of people on here saying they only sniff the wrapper every six months and that does them as they fill up on 3 tomato slices. However, you are correct, I can easily do one in a single sitting.

Agree. I easily eat a whole bar

One square a day is enough!

Wow, indulgent! I just sniff the chocolate, at a slight distance, and that’s more than enough for me. Any more than that and I would be physically sick from being too full and I need to save space for my massive salad. I don’t know anyone who could manage a whole square a day!

Northernsouloldies · 15/08/2023 03:49

70s dairy milk.. Thick chocolatey goodness... Effing vile now.

I can't eat Cadbury's big bars anymore as they aren't gluten free but I polished off an Aldi version of whole nut yesterday.

Does anyone else sweat when they eat too much chocolate?

Yes me! My cheek bones also get really hot (no idea why!) - that's when I know I've had too much!!

Why are people not seeing that this poster was joking?

JanetandRita · 15/08/2023 08:42

Now I really want chocolate

ThelmaBorden · 15/08/2023 08:58

Grenada chocolate from Lidl or Aldi - one bar is never enough -
the flavour is intense and unique - happy scoffing !

Moredarkchocolateplease · 15/08/2023 09:03

Mmm I eat about 70g (7squares) of Waitrose 90% chocolate every day. No one else in my family likes it, they prefer sweet milk chocolate.

I usually have my first square wtih my second decaf coffee at breakfast time.

I don't drink caffeine so I think the small amount of caffeine is addictive in the chocolate.

It's a very expensive habit at £2 a bar!

They aren't?! That might explain some of my mystery...err...reactions!

I never think to check plain chocolate as it's always been fine (or so I thought!)

@AppleTurnover1000Degrees

Because it wasn't obvious at all that it was a joke, it came across as serious/reprimanding 🤷🏻‍♀️
(As evidenced by the many many comments on here taking it seriously).

I saw it as a joke straight away.

Nobody would seriously have typed that.

One square a day is enough!

You know this is also an unhealthy way to eat food. Mentally this is not healthy at all.
