"If they don't like barges they should fuck off back to France". 30p Lee Anderson of course, not the BNP. Not the National Front or whatever their current name is. The Chairman of the Conservative Party. Supporters must be so proud. What a statesman. So Churchillian.

The complete mystery to most people is how the hell Braverman got into Cambridge or the Sorbonne, the latter is of course unfeasible for just about everyone now. Perhaps her specialist subject was Pulling the Ladder Up After Me.

You seem hung up on her qualifications. One could argue the same for Abbott.

Breaking: Energy supplier E.ON has announced profits of £4.9 billion for the first half of the year.

Up 40%.

But look at the boats, look at the boats...

And for the first 3 months of the year those profits were supplemented by our taxes from the government paying over the price guarantee.

Clearly they didn't need the extra? They didn't need to charge the extra?

I still have staunch Tory friends who use "but Johnson got the vaccines done".

itsgettingweird why on earth are you friends with staunch Tory voters when you hate the Tory party and all that it stands for?

Perhaps the friend is a longstanding Tory of the traditional ilk. The current iteration of the Tory party is light years away from the version that existed 20 odd years ago. Even Lord Heseltine won’t vote for this lot.

It wasn’t me who first mentioned her qualifications. 🤷‍♀️

I agree but you are running with it.

Then pick on the person who started it. I wonder why you didn’t? 🤔

I'm not surprised - he's President of the European Movement;

Congratulations on completing your bingo card, 2nd place though as mine was achieved at 12.03pm today with the appearance of Tony Blair on this thread.
I have to say I hadn't seen but John Prescott coming, that was quite an original one.

Does that make him less of a Conservative?

Your cynicism is quite telling. In your world, is nobody allowed to point out opinions that don't ally with your own?

Amazing how that happens, I quite disappointed for them that they didn't manage to win.

The bingo card game is often played. Why are you pearl clutching because my card doesn't match your own? Are you normally a fan of jumping on the bingo card game?

Is it an opinion worth discussing if the same thing is repeated over and over without engaging with facts and evidence that are presented?

What would be my prize; one of you telling me what war is going on in Albania?

Indeed it is, and on this occassion my card was full first, which I am very proud of.

I refer you to my question on the Albanian 'war'.

Should we only take migrants from places where there is a war?

I suggest you write to the government explaining your dislike of the HK migration that they have welcomed.

DatumTarum · 09/08/2023 16:58

If every single asylum seeker/illegal immigrant/inset term of choice, was deported tomorrow, what difference would it make to anything in this country?

Nothing.

Nadda.

This is nothing but a deliberate distraction from Tory corruption.

He is still a Conservative peer, but in your eyes he is not a real Tory?

Oh, have you rewritten the rules on war torn countries and their relevance to the UK?

It's laughable

What's happening in the Sahel region will make this look quaint

I can't get worked up about a broken door when the house is on fire
