Lighthearted-ish. Bickering this morning... DH has dressed baby in an England babygrow. It was a present from his best friend when they were newborn. It was given with a chuckle, so I see it as something to wear in the house when football is on, for a cute photo, but not to be seen in out of the house.

Today DH has dressed 4mo and I will be out all day. I want to change him but DH thinks I'm being a massive snob.

Yellow bodysuit with Tour de France emblazoned across the front, a tiny pair of black cycling shorts, a bright yellow cotton baby hat because “a helmet would be too hot” (as though they made cycling helmets in size 0-3 months), and DD was clutching a crocheted bicycle one of his friends had sourced as a new baby gift.

3 years on and it remains the most effort & dedication he’s put into an outfit choice, most of the time she looks like he’s picked her outfits out in the dark now, or maybe thrown the clean laundry basket into the air and selected based on how items have landed.

I’m glad the only thing I’m snobby about is socks. I do like a nice comfy pair of socks.

As long as it was pure cotton, TBH I wouldn’t be bothered.
But I dare say it’d be polyester.

I’m a massive football fan & my daughters all have our teams tops. My youngest doesn’t fit hers as of yet but I did take her smallest footie outfit into nicu for some pictures when our team was playing 🤣

Although if your not into football and going on a solo outing with baby then Yanbu as it can be a conversation starter and not one your interested in x

Your baby has 2 parents. dad can choose what baby wears sometimes. Just relax and enjoy this precious time.

I'm with you @youaintmymother - I am married to a football fan - been married for 46 years but he only wears his shirts to a match - I would cringe if ever he wore it at any other time, especially away from the house, but then I am a snob I suppose ha ha. He doesn't mind though (I think) :)
