Holiday packing

Who does it? Do you pack for yourself and kids and husband or does husband pack for himself?
I pack for myself and the younger kids. Older teens 17+ and husband I expect to be able to cope with working out what they need and put it in their bags. Everything is washed and ready in their drawers and wardrobes I should add so literally they just have to look, chose and pack.
i also obv pack all the sundries, medical supplies and travel snacks, pillows, blankets etc.

AIBU? I think not but it has been suggested I should be solely responsible!

I pack for myself and ds5. dd13, ds15 & OH pack for themselves. I do make a loose list for teens have they got x amount of pants, shorts, swimwear etc. Then I also pack all the toiletries, lotions and potions. OH pays for the holiday and I ensure travel insurance is taken out, passports are in date & any paperwork, parking booked etc.

Your husband should absolutely pack for himself! If he tends to forget essentiels you may remind him but a grown man packs his own suitcase. I packed for my young children but let them put everything they planned to take on their bed. A great educational moment to remind them they will need underware! And a toothbrush! Once my husband forgot his shaving stuff. I let him use my Venus and that looked so ridiculous he'll never forget his own again 😂

I pack mine, my husband packs his own.
I usually pack our daughters but as she is older I ask what she wants included and make sure that things work as outfits. She has started doing her own packing now but I make sure essentials have been included.
I pack most of the toiletries, health things etc that are for all to use, buy we each pack things that are just for us.

Everyone puts what they want packing on the bed (me, DH, DD15) I then pack it as I quite enjoy it. DH packs all chargers etc in a rucksack. I don’t check what I’m given so it’s their responsibility to put the right stuff out.

Who's making a fuss? If they're so bothered about one person doing all the packing then marvellous, they've just volunteered.

FWIW I have a DH and two DC (13 and 10). We all do our own packing. I remind the DC about swimming gear and sometimes they run out of pants, but they learned very quickly.

I pack for me and DS (6). Hubby packs his own after I tell him what he needs to pack lol.
