God I am bored of dogs

And they are everywhere. Obviously barking and shitting which is annoying anyway. But also running and shitting around every tiny bit of green space in cities so that no one else can use these places apart from dog owners. Even when you go to a pub or café half the time these days it's "dog friendly" (why do we all have to be fucking "friendly" btw? "Tolerant" I could at least understand). You can't escape the fucking things. At work we even have dullards cacking on about how they want "office dogs" - nightmare as far as I'm concerned and really if you're going to be accommodating people's personal life at work surely a fucking crèche would be a higher pissing priority. Pet dogs don't even do anything. They literally just exist so that people can have pet dogs. Why the fuck are they suddenly everywhere?

Are you including me in that? If so, do you mind explaining what’s precious about me?

Even if I am precious, I’d much rather be precious than so dimwitted and/or unempathetic that I thought any experience different from my own must be down to exaggeration.

@CallieQ taken a few weeks ago on the beautiful cycle/footpath which is on the thoroughfare to several schools to post on the bloody dog fouling web portal here - they like you to post pictures so they know whether to just bring a pooper scoop or a jet wash 🤮😤. It was a warm float and it fucking stank too. Disgusting. It’s Always covered in shit down there but that week was particularly bad as it was not easily avoidable as lots in middle of the path, 8 piles of it all in all, people wouldn’t believe it if I told them were it was. The amount of snooty feckers, too much to clean up shit clearly.

Just returned from a few days at my parents, popped out for a quick run and quelle surprise, a few yards down the road there were 7 or 8 big splodges over the full width of the pavement. Very difficult to avoid but fortunately I managed it. However if you were in a wheelchair or had a pram it would have been literally impossible not to get it on the wheels (car parked so couldn’t have gone in the road).

Do stop us if we’re going into too much detail CallieQ, but you did say you didn’t believe us.

My local lido has done this for years. It’s not a regular thing eg they don’t have a morning session for dogs, immediately followed by a session for kids. It happens once a year on the final weekend of the season before closing completely for the winter. No humans go in afterwards and it’s fully cleaned and disinfected prior to reopening in the Spring.

I’ve heard they make a lot of money from it charging £10 each for dog and owner. It always sells out.

Ok chill out, it just amused me and I remembered this thread about dogs being allowed everywhere these days! You must be a dog owner...

If my dog was a swimmer I’d love that! Unfortunately for me she has zero interest in swimming!
