Is there life on other planets?

Probably.

Has that life evolved enough to have been able to harness the vast quantities of energy required to move between solar systems and then used it to briefly whizz around our planet every now and again for the last 100 years?

Unlikely.

I think pilots and others regularly see things they can't explain. But that doesn't mean there's an alien explanation for them. Weather phenomena, eyesight playing tricks on us etc can all account for these. It's the same as the black panther sightings that are most likely someone's pet cat.

The hearings today are mostly the testimony of one man who doesn't appear to have any evidence to back up his claims. Pinches of salt needed.

They're here, aren't they ?

I honestly believe they are. And have been a heavy influence.

SingingNettles · 26/07/2023 21:39

Although it’s pretty scary, I’d sort of love this to be true.

I do remain highly skeptical for now, though.

The show Stargate Sg1, etc certainly gives a whole new meaning to the galaxies.

Fair points

My late DP was absolutely convinced he saw his future teenage self when he was a child, and then repeated the experience as a teenager when he reached that age. He was way more sceptical than I most of the time but when he related the story, he was visibly discombobulated and subsequent re-telling never varied.

So the time / vibrations/ dimension aspect sort of tastes right even if the particulars have yet to be nailed down.

Can you elaborate??

Then why is Congress giving them legitimacy with this public hearing?

Will there be someone coming to testify later who will debunk it all?

If it's all then debunked surely we are chasing our tails so to speak

CatchItDerry · 26/07/2023 21:47

I thought he had evidence but didn’t have to declare it publicly for his own safety?
(I saw that on a YouTube video though, so comes with its own pinch of salt, but why would he have a hearing at congress if there’s zero evidence)

Apparently Mussolini found a crashed aircraft with something not human 100 years ago and it was covered up

I'm between 😱and hmmm Mussolini was a bit nuts...

Oceanus · 26/07/2023 22:04

I thought Trump had released this info while he was president to detract from himself. I had no idea this would turn into such a big thing, big in terms of "political" visibility obviously. I thought they would let it die down but then again just turned to CNN and Hunter Biden's in the news so that kind of explains it.
Like a couple of days before anything bad came out about Prince(?) Andrew something terrible would come out about Harry and his wife.

Shiftingparadigm · 26/07/2023 22:08

My other half predicted this two years ago. Project fear. He said the world economy was about to go to shit and once people got angry about it and indifferent to our world leaders they would fake an alien invasion to convince people we actually need them instead of telling them to fuck off and then do a better job. 😂

Why would intelligent life capable of space travel from distant areas of our universe land here? We are the equivalent of single celled organisms to them. We are utter morons that can't get our shit together.

Oceanus · 26/07/2023 22:09

Just googled the Mussolini UFO in Italian and not only is there hardly anything about it but it's all on dodgy blogs, it also appears to be the same information as in literally the same source (using the same exact words): a guy who wrote a book.

MistressoftheDarkSide · 26/07/2023 22:09

@Buell

So my DP lived on the IOW when he was about 8. He vividly remembered walking down Ryde High Street and seeing a group of teenagers coming towards him. One was a tall lad, dressed eccentrically with a signature accessory that was quite unique. This would have been in around 1977. He recalled that as they passed each other, the teenager seemed a little weirded out but passed on by without comment.

In his late teens, DP was again walking down Ryde High Street, with a group of friends and wearing said signature accessory which he had adopted after seeing a contemporary singer wearing similar. He swore blind he passed his 8 year old self coming the other way, recognising the outfit and haircut and he almost said something but passed by just feeling quite shaken.

He had strong recollection of both events, from both perspectives and no reason to make it up. 1977 boy fashion was quite distinctive so it was unlikely to have been the chosen garb of a child in the late 80s.

I’d give anything to be including him on this conversation right now - he loved sci-Fi and was hanging out for the singularity and wet-wiring. Blade Runner was one of his favourite films.

He’d be having a whale of a time with this. God I miss him.

I think a lot of the UFOs nowadays are more likely to be the Chinese trying out new technology rather than aliens that look exactly like us: two legs, two arms, two eyes a head like ours...
Back in the day it was probably the Russians.
What's the mathematical probability that aliens look so much like us and that they can fly for such long distances with spaceships that aren't invisible and themselves being invisible?
Just want to add: I loved the x-Files as a kid and I loved those "Cocoons in the pool" movies (can't remember what they're called).
If aliens exist they're probably interested in us purely out of curiosity otherwise we'd be dead meat by now if they can fly so far "without getting indisputably caught".

meridian37 · 26/07/2023 22:32

I've had an interest in ufology for about three years. Ufo doesn't automatically mean ET. Most people think it does. A ufo could be anything

The Pentagon released three videos taken by USAF pilots in 2017? They are confirmed UFOs. They have absolutely no idea what they were

The most famous case is the tic-tac video. I think it was 2004. The guy that was flying the jet and filmed it was David Fravor who was in Congress today

The object looked like a large tic-tac. Two jets carrying four people saw it and engaged with it

It was the same size as a jet. Fravor flew downwards towards it at roughly 300mph. The tic-tac was hovering just about the ocean. It then moved from standstill directly at Fravor, it went from a standstill to 300mph and uphill, instantly

That's not possible but it happened. They have it on infrared camera. It also shortly after travelled sixty miles in one second

There's lots of theories on what it was, I think it was an unmanned craft. Some people think they are probes sent back in time by future humans

We have no idea. All we know is that it's not from this planet

Anybody who's on the fence, listen to a podcast called Merged. Ryan Graves who was also in Congress today hosts it, Fravor is on the most recent episode

There's one episode with a pilot who has 30,000 hours flying time. He saw three large discs descend in front of him during one flight and then blast off into the distance

JAL airways, another pilot who had three UFOs pull alongside him. It was recorded on radar. He spoke out and didn't fly a plane again for years because he spoke out

The film The Phenomenon by James Fox is also well worth watching. Cases going back to the 1940's

There's a reason why all the military witnesses wait until they're retired to talk. All three today are no longer in the military

The Pheonix Lights, thousands of people witnessed it. Nobody knows what it was to this day. Kurt Russell saw it!

Roswell, the first military man on the scene, Jesse Marcel came out and said he was ordered to lie

Frankie Rowe, she was twelve when Roswell happened. Her father a fireman attended the crash and showed her debris. She screwed it up in her hand and it went back to its original form

She was later visited at home and told in front of her mum that if she ever spoke she would be killed and buried in the desert

All of this is out there on video

mauveiscurious · 26/07/2023 22:37

My DB had a verified sighting at a local airport in the 1980s pilots and ground control we also reporting the same thing.

Also one of the neighbours a decade before witness and UFO. They did talk about it for a while but I think ended up being ridiculed.

On a serious note the YouTube radio show of coast to coast am with art bell and George Norway
Is a good introduction to various topics of that nature.

Thank you. I have heard of Art Bell.

UFO doesn't = alien.
It means unidentified flying object. It could be anything, most likely some kind of flying device for use in war!

@Hawkins0001 😘😘😘Thank you! I looooooove that movie. Gosh I was a kid when I first saw it. I thought it was called something funky. I think my father had died by then and I thought it would be wonderful if something like this could come true. The actors were all fabulous too. I'm not sure I can watch it without shedding a tear or two.
