To ask what the rudest thing your child has said to you in a melt down?

Tonight my very hormonal, 12 year old, pre teen told me to “shove off” when I made a joke about her playing with Lego instead of tidying her room. Quickly followed up with “you ruin everything”. It took me back a bit to be honest. It was completely out of character. It got me wondering 2 things:

  1. is this normal teenage behaviour? Or is my child suddenly going off the rails?

  2. what’s the worst thing your child has said in a rage.

My 15 year old daughter came home pissed and high the other day with my name written on her arm followed by ‘is a cunt’. She wouldn’t tell me if she’d done it or someone else. Maybe it was your son. 🤣😭 God I hate parenting.

Fizzybun · 24/07/2023 20:27

Love this 😭

Bojheybuddy · 24/07/2023 20:31

My 6yo DS called me a pig in a wig 😅

MrsBournville · 24/07/2023 20:46

My 8 year old is Autistic.
One day the neighbours knocked on with an Easter egg for her to share with her siblings. She said "you must be joking- one Easter egg, for 4 of us? What are we supposed to do with that?" And slammed the door!

LuvSmallDogs · 24/07/2023 21:00

DS2 does sometimes say fuck over and over when he's annoyed, but his actual meltdowns are more physical with wordless screams.

He's not got the biggest vocabulary, but is blunt with the words he does have.

One Xmas, he was absolutely spoiled by my side of the family - lots of expensive toys and some cheap chocolates to unwrap. Each chocolate present was met with joy "chocolate!" while each lovely toy was met with "not chocolate!" and discarded. My mum pouted while my dad laughed until he cried.

NormalForNuneaton · 24/07/2023 21:04

DS once called me the all-time classic "Poo poo head"

DD once told me "you're not coming to my party"

Nowadays they probably call me a lot worse but not in my earshot 😏

Cascade39 · 24/07/2023 21:19

Honestly the worst thing my eldest DD15 has ever shouted at me when she was upset was "YOUR NOT MY MUM!" She's sworn at my, told me to f-off, called me a bitch, she's even pushed and kicked me but that one hurt the most - was like she had punched her hand through my chest and ripped my heart right out.

It could have been worse that’s for sure. I am glad I am not alone, ‘misery loves company’ 😂

If that’s the worst thing your child has ever said you’re in for a shock.

She is only 12 give it time 🙈 I’m getting a glimpse of what might be to come.

Hi. Please tell me what is a milf ?

I'm not really up to date with acronyms but I think it stands for 'Mum I'd like to fuck'.

MrsFunnyFanny · 24/07/2023 21:53

I got “You’re dead to me, you ugly tramp”. Lovely.

My son attempted to call me a tramp tonight, but said trump instead. He realised his mistake and tried to correct it but it killed his vibe 😂

“Please don’t walk next to me when we’re out shopping”

Oh yes, I get that! I am not allowed to attend any school events either as I'm just mortifyingly embarrassing 😅

Alinino124 · 24/07/2023 22:32

But that’s the TOURETTES, he cannot help himself. Do not take it personally.
i hope he grows out of it as he gets older.

LuvSmallDogs · 24/07/2023 22:34

Oh god, I just remembered something from my childhood.

Mum was out, so dad was being lax and letting us stay up and watch post-watershed TV. Eventually he decided enough was enough and tried to get my younger brother to go to bed, only to be told "If you don't let me stay up and watch South Park, I'm going to tell (headmaster) that you let strange men touch me in places that make me feel uncomfortable". Shock

Alinino124 · 24/07/2023 22:35

Disrespectful, needs to be accountable for his behaviour or he will just carry on doing it. He needs a punishment, ie. to be grounded, phone taken away, he will soon get the message.

Alinino124 · 24/07/2023 22:36

OMG he needs a stern talking too.

Alinino124 · 24/07/2023 22:38

Disrespectful. Give a warning if it happens again ground them until they learn the hard way.

LuvSmallDogs · 24/07/2023 22:41

@Alinino124 , you need to either @ the poster you are talking to, or quote the post you are responding to, otherwise we don't know what you're talking about. :)

Alinino124 · 24/07/2023 22:42

Apologies fairly new to this !

AllOfThemWitches · 24/07/2023 22:43

Mine doesn't talk. He nips me when I've wronged him though.

That's hard, I'm sorry. DS2 is much less bitey now, but he went through a real phase of it and once managed to break my skin through denim.

Charb2017 · 24/07/2023 22:53

My son lost his dad when he was 11. He has told me quite a few times the wrong parent died.
