Honestly, he’s evil. The Sun & all his press is the absolute worst of the worst.

The mostly fabricated story about Huw Edwards was likely timed to cover up tory scandal, bring down the bbc.

Boris Johnson STILL has defied a court order & not handed in his phone. This should be the main headline- not destroying a man for his sexual preferences (which weren’t deemed illegal activity anyway)

Murdoch is absolute scum. The most morally empty vile arsehole.

Huw, the Tories, Murdoch... all sunk to the same level, really.

I like Huw. I like Boris. They are both human and humans are prone to failings.

I’m in 2 minds how I feel about HE behaviour/actions, but not how I feel about the scum newspaper and everything else that Murdoch has anything to do with. They’ve got some nerve reporting about this so slavishly, given their own history with putting girls under 18 on page 3 and cover stories about sexual exploitation of young people.

And yes, this is very much a distraction for yet more Tory bollocks and anyone who can’t or won’t see that is frankly a moron.

We know he has been on websites where people swap dodgy pictures, we know he sent threatening messages to someone. Nothing illegal but definitely questionable.

You can't condone Huw Edward's behaviour, for which he is responsible. It's not private matter when it doesn't align with the values and behaviours expected in the organisation he very publicly represents.

Let’s not forget what the Sun- Murdochs fine rag- did to the victims of hillsborough either shall we. Hence why no one in Liverpool buys the sun.

Well he’s a rich man wanting to keep him and his family rich and powerful. So he basically spins stories via his TV channels or newspapers to make money. Keep people clicking and watching to rack up the cash.

He’s a greedy man, not content with his lot and just wants more and more.

And that’s for the BBC to deal with. It didn’t need to be salaciously reported at the expense of other new stories quite so much. It was massively over the top coverage and I have to say, I got a bit bored of it quite frankly.

I have absolutely no opinion on Huw Edwards because I don‘t have access to the information the police do, but I hate the expression "no smoke without fire". Of course there is. I could start a rumour out of spite saying "Tinkerbyebye was seen cavorting with the local shopkeeper/doesn‘t pay their taxes/ something much much worse" and then it spreads, and someone else tells someone else etc etc, until you have people thinking "well so many people have said they‘ve heard it, so it must be true".

Like I say, I can‘t comment on Huw Edwards, maybe it‘s true, maybe it isn‘t, but many people‘s lives can be ruined by "no smoke without fire" gossip.

Oh yea and the Sun put Sam Fox on their topless when she was 16. Oh and did a countdown of Charlotte Church becoming legally able to have sex too.

Hardly got the moral high ground.

Better to view him for what he is - greedy. Evil implies he’s somehow an evil divine power. Better to remember he’s an old man sitting on an empire - then it becomes easier to one day think he can be taken down or his empire broken up.

The BBC said that they saw the messages themselves and described them as threatening.

Murdoch has to try and sell papers otherwise he wouldn't have any money. As opposed to the BBC who people are forced to pay for.

I agree, Murdoch is an insidious threat to British society and the Sun is an utter rag. His power and influence in this country and America make me feel ill. The permanent damage he has done to news reporting and the media in this country is deplorable.

I work for the NHS, have a code of conduct.
If I had spent years messaging 18 year old woman, my husband should be pissed off but a) I wouldn't lose my job and b) I wouldn't be demonised by the country . My morally corrupt behaviour has no relevance to anyone other than my husband!

If nothing illegal has occured then allow him to have his private life and let his wife be his only judgment.

Not illegal maybe regarding Huw but what about moral? It's all just bread and circuses really and Murdoch is the latest in a long line to capitalise on that.
