I wasn't aware at all about his MH history. But that still doesn't mean his actions are excusable. He may well be in crisis at the moment, and it seems he's getting the right care and support.

That's a leap. He will be in a private hospital, he doesn't necessarily have any mental health issues at all at the moment, those places are businesses and will let him book in if he wants to.
If he had been sectioned to an NHS hospital I would believe it but as it is it's extremely convenient.

Absolutely - the Sun is not my first port of call when it comes to balanced reporting or being overly concerned with accuracy. Have they published their evidence? If they can prove it - all well and good but there is a political slant with the right wing media and the BBC.

The young persons age - 17 immediately put them in the vulnerable category, especially in such a situation.

He is in his 60's, was powerful, and held influence. He is also supposed to have a moral compass based on what he represents on our screens AND the fact that he's married.

I had ZERO clue what decisions I was making at 17 or how they'd impact my older self. I thought I knew it all, I absolutely didn't.

I'm with you OP, I also didn't know & I am also shocked it's him. He is not someone I considered at all. Always really liked him and feel disgusted.

Theres likely been a suicide attempt or at the very least, a plan with intent to carry out a suicide attempt.
