What is this virus going around :-(

I’ve felt completely wiped out for three days now, no energy at all, headaches, body aches. I’ve done nothing but rest but it doesn’t seem to be easing at all. Anyone else had the same recently?

Lots of covid around currently. People aren't testing as much but it's still there

I have tested again this evening and it’s negative so must be a random virus.

DH has got it now! He's wfh today. This afternoon I heard some groaning noises so I went to see what was going on; he was dragging himself up to bed, complaining of feeling sick and exhausted.
He slept for a while and feels slightly better, but he's off his food which is not like him. At all.

The symptoms sound like the common cold, that thing we’ve all forgotten exists haha. It’s still here and it wants us to know it!

I haven't found it to be at all like the common cold. I haven't had any coughs, sneezes or congestion. It's basically been nausea with bad headaches, exhaustion and hot sweats. Not like a cold at all.

I've just found this thread. Mine started on Friday when I just couldn't stay awake! Since then I've slept for the most part of 3 days, felt nauseous and had a fever. Today is the first day I've felt human again and have eaten a few bits.

I did a covid test on Saturday which was negative but after reading all of this I might do another one!

Hope everyone feeling rotten gets better soon!

yep, mine was like that. Had no cold symptoms at all until over a week in when I developed a slight sore throat and then a cough

Same.
No cold symptoms at all.
Started with eye floaters and then headache. Then severe exhaustion and nausea for a couple of days. Exhaustion has eased but now I have an upset stomach and achy lower back, and still waking with a mild headache, like when I had covid. Lots of wind and eyes still feel a bit ‘migrainey.’ Not fun

I've had a weird virus for 8 days. Testing negative for Covid but it feels exactly like covid to me. Sore throat, runny nose aching all over, weak legs, absolutely wiped out. The smallest exertion exhausts me.

has anyone felt like me?
I feel so nauseous, with loose stool and a weird headache, even in my eyes. Mildly dizzy and random abdominal pain. No fever and no cold symptoms. It’s been a week now!

It is a horrible virus to shake off, doesn’t seem to go away quickly.

I’m 10 days in and still not feeling back to normal. Has anyone taken time off for it or worked through it?

Nearly 3 weeks ago i woke up with a sore throat, which then developed into a mucus cough and a headache and tiredness. Earlier this week throat started to feel sore again and now have a cold (and still coughing but less so!). Tired of being ill - never usually ill for this long!

It’s the fatigue that’s really annoying now, I’m just shattered! Does anyone else feel their immune systems aren’t as good as normal at the moment?

Same, I’m on day 10. Now my neck is strangely sore and getting shooting pains in my temple and top of head. Covid test was negative. I was hoping it was Covid! Thankfully, my tummy seems less upset today

I can’t shake this weird headache and nausea. It’s making me dizzy. Still so exhausted, too! Keep worrying myself it’s something serious

Anyone over this yet I've had now for 6 days and feel utterly poop with a newborn and a toddler aswell dp is doing what he can but no way he can do everything c section aswell so the coughing is hurting badly taking as much as I can with other meds ontop ? Gosh when will it end so had enough now I am so exhausted not sure from night feeds or virus or both gosh don't want to wish little ones life away but could fast forward a month happily right now 😭😭😭😭

Most of our class had a weird thing where they came into school fine, then halfway through the morning, they fall asleep and have a fever. All sent home then several days at home. Three admitted to hospital. One went to hospital with suspected appendicitis but apparently had really swollen abdominal lymph glands due to the virus. It has wiped everyone out but isn't covid as all the adults have tested.
