I’ve felt completely wiped out for three days now, no energy at all, headaches, body aches. I’ve done nothing but rest but it doesn’t seem to be easing at all. Anyone else had the same recently?

If it’s what had then you need to rest!
if you really, really insist on being in work (although I wouldn’t if you can help it) do cold & flu remedy (like Beechams - containing paracetamol) every four hours and take ibuprofen every four hours in between
You may feel slightly perked up if you have a rehydration drink such as diaoralyte but obviously don’t over do that!! Get as much sleep as you can get each night, take it easy!!

C1239 · 03/07/2023 17:39

I feel like im moaning way to much but I feel so yucky! Just dont know if I can go into work like this.

C1239 · 03/07/2023 17:51

Did anyone else in your household catch it @FuckOffTom , it’s only me so far. Did you dose up and go into work with it? I feel so bleugh tonight, weak , achy, nauseous, headachy, sinusy if that’s even a word. It’s just not budging

FuckOffTom · 03/07/2023 18:41

Yes, all three of us. Youngest had a flu vaccination though so it barely touched him. His dad was pretty ill for a while and I was worse.
I can WFH so I just took it easy but still logged on. Could just about potter around and do what I needed around the house but couldn’t walk around a supermarket or anything

C1239 · 03/07/2023 21:29

Hoping I start to feel a bit better tomorrow, not been up to much at all today.

C1239 · 04/07/2023 06:44

How’s everyone feeling today?

OP posts:
C1239 · 04/07/2023 07:43

I’m feeling even worse today, so nauseous , what is this horrible bug 😟?!

OP posts:
Blackandwhitehorse · 04/07/2023 08:35

I’m in week 3 and I still have this annoying cough, same as my friend who got this 2 weeks ahead of me. But I’ve now strained a muscle in my rib coughing which is agony 😭

C1239 · 04/07/2023 10:32

I dont seem to have a cold or cough with it for me it’s more body aches, headaches, nausea, fatigue, ear ache, and it’s just not going away!

Have you done another covid test @C1239 ? I know you tested negative at first but as some PP have said it can be a few days before you get a positive result.

Hope you feel better soon.

C1239 · 04/07/2023 10:38

No i havent , not got anymore in but have ordered a pack so will do when they arrive if I still feel like this.

GiveYourHeadAWobble · 04/07/2023 10:48

I felt better yesterday and even did an hour-long dog walk, but last night I had a dream I was being sick, so I must have felt nauseous in the night!

I also don't have any cough or cold symptoms, but I do have earache. It's mainly the exhaustion, headaches and nausea for me.

C1239 · 04/07/2023 10:52

Have you done a covid test @GiveYourHeadAWobble ?

OP posts:
RavenT · 04/07/2023 10:52

I've been feeling shattered since Friday. Incredibly achey and tired all over my body and headaches. I tested for covid this morning out of interest, but it was negative. The tiredness is overwhelming and I feel quite breathless too. Assuming a virus, but has taken it out of me, and I'm in the early days!

C1239 · 04/07/2023 11:01

I agree about the tiredness @RavenT . I’ve rested as much as I can and it doesn’t seem to be easing, at the moment it feels like I ll never feel normal again!!

BetiYeti · 04/07/2023 11:25

I’ve had this for a week now, tired out with a sore throat, but don’t feel unwell enough to see a doc or take time off work. Hoping it clears off soon! Two negative covid tests over the past week.

GiveYourHeadAWobble · 04/07/2023 11:31

C1239 · 04/07/2023 10:52

Have you done a covid test @GiveYourHeadAWobble ?

Not yet. Need to get hold of some more.

C1239 · 04/07/2023 16:40

Is anyone starting to feel any better? After I’ve been lying down for a bit I start to feel ok ish, get up and start walking around and I’m like nope still feel s*, so frustrating now

OP posts:
Coffeeandcherrypie · 04/07/2023 16:51

The runny nose and sore throat have gone but yes, the small task of preparing a light meal has exhausted me and I’m back in bed.

Feeling hot as well but no fever.

CurlewKate · 04/07/2023 16:54

My dp is on say 4 of a sore throat and a cough and is completely wiped out, and he's not a man-flu type! Not Covid (he's tested twice.) it's a horrible big.

Notmollybutdolly · 04/07/2023 17:07

Can i ask where you are all located, I’m in the west of Scotland and I’ve been feeling like this for weeks. Hay fever symptoms (I’ve never had hay fever in my life and I am 36 years old!), hacking cough, sore head and general lethargy.
i actually feel slightly better knowing other people feel like this as I was beginning to get a but concerned.
amso has anyone else just seem to have got hay fever this year??? I’ve never had it ever so why now?

Coffeeandcherrypie · 04/07/2023 17:14

Notmolly I’m in London and have never had hayfever before but they do feel like hayfever symptoms.

Smallinthesmoke · 04/07/2023 17:19

This is a very interesting thread, DH and I (London) have both come down with something- main features are blinding exhaustion, body aches, bit of a sore throat/ ears. It's the tiredness which is off the scale though.
I hope everyone feels better soon.

Maddy70 · 04/07/2023 17:27

Lots of covid around currently. People aren't testing as much but it's still there
