I’ve felt completely wiped out for three days now, no energy at all, headaches, body aches. I’ve done nothing but rest but it doesn’t seem to be easing at all. Anyone else had the same recently?

I’ve had this recently - including the sudden nausea on day 3/4 - and got blaring positives for Covid on LFTs. Early symptoms were fatigue and such bad muscle aches/cramping that I was in agony and couldn’t walk for 2 days. I didn’t lose my sense of taste/smell until day 9 (currently day 15) and there’s no sign of it coming back any time soon.

It’s the first time I’ve had covid after avoiding it for 3.5 years and I was sooooo ill. I took a week off work and slept the entire time, it’s now 2 weeks later and I’m still not quite right.

Alloftheusernamesaretakenn · 02/07/2023 23:44

And I’ve been bizarrely sweaty since the main symptoms abated; I was starting to wonder if early 30s wasn’t too young for hot flushes 😳

Blinky21 · 02/07/2023 23:47

Unless you test everyday you wouldn't know if it was covid, I didn't test positive until day 5 when I had it recently. Even then tests won't pick up 30 per cent of cases

C1239 · 03/07/2023 06:38

How’s everyone feeling today?

I’ve felt shit all weekend. Was supposed to be going out for a meal Saturday night but I cancelled as I just felt too tired. We got a takeaway instead and I struggled to eat that, it seemed a bit tasteless and I had no appetite. Yesterday felt even worse, no energy at all, didn’t eat all day, kept feeling hot and sweaty. Came down with a bad headache last night and woke up with migraine this morning. Feel really crap now

I'm just the same.

I wasn't sweating when I was feeling ill with it but now I'm over it the slightest activity results in sweat pouring off me and I've never been like that before.
Quite bizarre.

FuckOffTom · 03/07/2023 08:10

I had this back in May. You have my sympathies!

Started with feeling nauseous... then changed to unbelievable fatigue. Was hard to even walk around as my legs felt so week. Didn’t get any other symptoms until about a week in when I got a sore throat. Whole thing lasted two weeks and it was absolutely horrible. I kept trying to crack on thinking it was stress but this was something else.
I got over it, was well for about a week and then got a cold. I haven’t really been right since.

Righttherights · 03/07/2023 08:17

Had same for 3/4 days at achey, lethargy, headachey stage but still feeling wiped out 5 days on. Had to push through too. Covid tests negative as well. DH had same. “Virus” ?

C1239 · 03/07/2023 08:17

Sorry OP! If it’s any consolation, DS’ dad had it too but didn’t suffer as badly or for as long as I did!

I’ve honestly had o many viruses this year that I’m beginning to worry there is something seriously wrong with me!!

I’ve also had the sweatiness ever since - barely have to move around some days. Also, breathlessness and a pounding heart even after walking up one flight of stairs.

I can currently get through the day but haven’t been able to get to the gym for months.

Brrrrrrrrrrrr · 03/07/2023 08:26

I’d be very surprised if it wasn’t Covid.

DrBlackbird · 03/07/2023 08:26

Ive had that fatigue where you can’t do anything but sit and sleep, the muscle cramping, and the nausea and dizziness. The latter to the point of the room undulating but also tinnitus and muffled hearing in one ear. Covid never occurred to me as the symptoms were too dissimilar to last time. Reading these posts makes me wonder though? Too late to test unfortunately as the symptoms have gone on for 5 weeks.

Ask your GP about long Covid, it’s a big issue that we’re slowly starting to understand. I hope it goes away soon for you.

My husband had it last week he's better over the weekend but it really wiped him out he did a covid test but it wax negative, just a virally thing I'm assuming.

TooBigForMyBoots · 03/07/2023 08:34

Me. Feels a bit like flu. Will read rest of thread after a nap.

C1239 · 03/07/2023 09:44

Feeling a bit down with it today - just want it to go away now!

OP posts:
C1239 · 03/07/2023 12:58

I’ve rested again all morning, taken paracetamol and drinking plenty of water and I’m still feeling the same. Is there anything else I can try and do to shift it? I need to be in work for the rest of the week!

OP posts:
Worriedmum107 · 03/07/2023 13:00

I've had this, it's rotten, I'm shattered

Tiny2018 · 03/07/2023 13:06

I'm a carer for end of life residents, so test regularly for Covid.

The past few weeks my body has felt about 80 (I'm 38), aching so badly from the moment I get up. Exhausted too. Negative for Covid so I assumed it was dehydration or just getting older.

I really hope this is just a virus as I was genuinely starting to worry that I would feel like this forever.

C1239 · 03/07/2023 13:09

It’s a bit worrying how long it’s lasting for everyone. @Worriedmum107 have your symptoms eased now?

OP posts:
YouCantTourniquetTheTaint · 03/07/2023 13:11

I had a fever and felt run down a couple of weeks ago, then felt better. I'm now run down, fever, tired, headaches, chesty cough, I just feel blurgh

SunThroughTheCloudsAt6am · 03/07/2023 13:28

Just coming out the other side - still with a cough. Severity was age - related in our house - youngest just had the cough, pre-teen had a 1-dayer with lingering cough, I was knocked out for a good 5 days (mind you, I had to power through 2 of them with sudafed and solpadiene so I might have extended the duration because of that)

Softoprider · 03/07/2023 13:30

Tonsillitis. That's what it is.

C1239 · 03/07/2023 14:10

I’ve had tonsilitis a few times and it doesn’t feel too similar at the moment, just wish I could shake it off
