I've been on Mumsnet for around 10 years now, I have read some crazy threads.

I'm lying in bed hungover and looking for some stories to brighten up my shameful Saturday afternoon.

If anyone wants to share it would be greatly appreciated Grin

OP posts:

The toilet brush in the dishwasher!!! Just no!

midsomermurderess · 17/06/2023 17:44

Some woman going absolutely radge about helium balloons. When helium is gone it’s gone, shameful, stupid waste, on and on. She did, does, have a point, but her post was spittle-flecked ranting. Sometime, also, context matters.

Oh come on, you know you wanna! Can't let it go to waste. What if none looked at Mona Lisa to keep the painting safe? Dooooo it 😋

Just seen.

It's in classics, and it's full 😪

BUT, I found it cos I was looking for this.....

Pom bear, for those who were asking

to think this couple are bonkers | Mumsnet

So we have got quite friendly with this couple through school. They are both professionals lawyer/banker and seem to have shedloads of money and live...

And for the other person asking, tiny Korean lady is also in classics

The recent thread which lauded the Daily Mail articles. Deeply insane.

That was a new depth and peak at the same time!

tolerable · 17/06/2023 17:50

the recently turned vegan who were pregnant and it "raised bf issues"for her(??)

midsomermurderess · 17/06/2023 17:50

Over lockdown, there was some intense discussion about whether cucumber could be deemed to be essential shopping.

8misskitty8 · 17/06/2023 17:51

Arniesleftleg · 17/06/2023 17:44

The toilet brush in the dishwasher!!! Just no!

Not sure if it was the same thread but people putting toilet seats in the dishwasher.

TheShellBeach · 17/06/2023 17:16

There was a weird one recently where the DH had accused the OP of poisoning him.

We never got to the bottom of that one.

Now that's intriguing. Love a good mystery.

a1poshpaws · 17/06/2023 17:53

@mananarama thank you!😂😂😂

(te noihydc sounded pretty tempting to me, mind you!)

putthatdownsteve · 17/06/2023 17:54

About 15 years ago now, the poster who said her hamster had fallen in her stew and she’d eaten him.

Really long thread where she admitted she was bullshitting.

Idratherbepaddleboarding · 17/06/2023 17:55

Definitely the supersoaker thread just for the number of times she managed to mention supersoaker and the fact that she just kept going and going depute everyone telling her she was being unreasonable and all of the Sharon ones.

EmeraldPanda · 17/06/2023 17:57

The penis beaker - that was my introduction to Mumsnet 😂

SandandSky · 17/06/2023 17:57

Namechanger355 · 17/06/2023 16:16

This is bloody brilliant 😂😂😂😂😂

TimeToMoveIt · 17/06/2023 17:59

Your minge

Think it was by TSC who was pregnant and forgot to put her bikini bottoms on at the local pool , she had all her posts deleted though so think the thread has gone

iamnottoofatiamjusttooshort · 17/06/2023 18:03

Oh and the lady stuck in a Seasalt jumpsuit ! Alone in the house .. rolling on bed , floor , trying to use wire coat hanger , virtually impossible to get zip down .. I was crying 😂

MaryPoppinPills · 17/06/2023 18:03

There was one years and years ago about a young lad across the road living in his car due to a falling out iirk with his mother. I recall the girlfriend moving in and after a few days a rat also moved in.
It was being real time posted by the mumsnetter from her window.

Lwrenagain · 17/06/2023 18:03

Not threads because I can't remember them but 2 of my fave comments have been -

A poster was dumped for ordering anchovies on her pizza and someone suggested she reply with, "plenty more anchovies in the sea"

And cannae remember the thread but a poster said something like "men literally shag piles of leafs" and it killed me because I've seen more than one bloke humping leaf piles at a place I worked 😂

Nanaof1 · 17/06/2023 18:04

Name99 · 17/06/2023 16:07

The one where the OP was a landlord and having some kind of issue with tenants and people suggested that she gift the house to the tenants

I'd love to read that thread if anyone finds it.

Maireas · 17/06/2023 18:07

Smittenkitchen · 17/06/2023 17:23

"Shall we bathe tonight?"

Oh my God. That was weird

I'm on the closing page, but I'd forgotten 😆

For me, this is just the thread that keeps on giving

You're a bit of a Rogue 😅😋

MaryPoppinPills · 17/06/2023 18:08

I also think "Mexican house thief" deserves a mention if it hasnt been already
