My own experiences, that of most of my friends, the women on here. It's endless. I know there are some guys that are nicer than others. I know some that I consider good friends. I still wonder, deep deep down if they're all degenerate when it comes to sex.

Porn, prostitution, rough sex, casual assaults, etc. I listened to womens hour today discussing a new BBC doc about the widespread groping on the tube in Japan. What's most shocking to me is the fact they have sex clubs there that allow men to pay to replicate that kind of sexual assault (clubs decked out like train carriages full of prostitutes that appear to resist as part of the fun). Thing is, it's not a fringe activity, it's a "thing". I totally despair. I try to be positive, I have a partner, I have a daughter that's growing up fas, but push comes to shove... wouldn't trust one man that deeply when their sexuality calls.

Only a very small % of rape incidents are actually recorded. Many women are scared they won't be believed/ don't want the trauma of a trial or medical exam etc etc.

Many women are also coerced into sex they don't want by a partner, but because it's a relationship they struggle to see it as rape.

Marital rape only became illegal in 1991, it still happens all the time today. It's just how can it be proven? If you have consensual sex in the morning and then your partner rapes you in the afternoon, you would feel a fool going to the police to report this. There would be no viable evidence that could be used in court.

I went for a run at 6am this morning. I saw a female runner. No physiological reaction. I saw a male runner, my vigilance went up, my heart rate went up and I changed my behaviour (looked for means if escape). He ran past me, no issues, just said hello. Is my brain a misandrist or a realist?

I dont for one second believe all men are "degenerate " or would be given the opportunity. Are some men? Absolutely yes. Are all men? Absolutely not. I've had enough of both types to know the difference.

Well that shouldn't come as a surprise. For centuries men have labelled women in these ways and used language about us far in excess of anything on here. There are forums that advocate for violence against us, our rape and murder. That sexualize us from childhood and into our old age. That call for the continuation of systems and structures that exploit and abuse us, and seek to remove our rights. If the worst you've come across looks like this thread, you've not scratched the surface.

I have a son. I have worked very hard as I brought him up to ensure that he is one of the good guys. I hope to hell he is.

I watched a documentary about Mary Vincent recently. For those who don't know the case, when she was hitchhiking aged 15 and was picked up a man who raped her, chopped off her forearms with a hatchet then threw her off a cliff. She survived by sticking the stumps of her arms into mud to stop the bleeding then walked 3 miles to a road to get help. Her attacker served less than 10 years in prison then murdered another woman once released.

Men do scare me a bit. The evil and level of violence they are capable of and just how you dont know what's going on below the surface. I worked with a guy for years who seemed perfectly nice and normal and then he was arrested and imprisoned for downloading child porn.

Many reasons why women would choose to ignore and refuse these things.

I have adult sons. And I can tell you that like any decent man, they have far less of a problem with women discussing their experiences of men than the posters rushing to defend them on here.
They're men. They have back stage access. They know what men are like and they're not apologists, victim blamers or deniers. If the men in your life have led you to believe that the problem of male behaviour is exaggerated, that none of their friends would EVER...then you really need to ask what they're trying to hide from you.

Yep. When the footage was released of the Brazilian woman who was beaten by her husband in a lift and then thrown off the balcony, men on UK men’s forums were debating whether she had cheated on him, as that would justify her murder.

When men are no longer the biggest threat women face then come back and NAMALT.
