To not paint my toenails for my friends wedding tomorrow

First world problem I know! I have painted my fingernails a lovely red but I have lost my toe separators and find painting my toes boring, plus I have a 10 month old baby who makes every task 10x more difficult to complete! My toes will be on show as I have sandals to wear with my dress tomorrow.

UABU- paint your toenails to match your fingernails
UANBU- nude toenails are fine

You actually could have already painted them in the time it took you to ask Mumsnet whether you should or not 🤷🏼‍♀️

Maybe having the discussion on Mumsnet was more fun.

it definitely takes less time to post on MN than to paint your nails. Or do you think people start a thread and then do nothing for five days but watch the replies roll in?

I don't like my nude toenails, so I have them painted all year round. Still, I don't do real work on them, it's just trim and paint really 🤷🏼‍♀️

Shock horror, I'm going into the office tomorrow wearing sandals and with naked toenails. Let's hope my colleagues survive the shock!

🤣🤣🤣

It literally takes two minutes!

People often can’t find 2 mins with a baby in the house.

Well PP have said they would notice and judge, however I will have to just take that risk. I’m feeling defiant! I’ll go to the wedding without painted toenails and see if anyone does seem to notice 😂

I heard it’s not the fashion now anyway

I have a baby! Doesn’t strike me as a time consuming thing if I’m honest! Depends if you’re asleep the whole time they are!

it doesn’t take much more time, especially if you have a quick drying top coat. And people do often check back in.

is this post a wind up? I need to find a better way to pass the time. Toilet paper works just as well as toe separators..

Exactly....in the time spent writing the post and reading/replying to comments the nails could have been painted

But they weren’t, and the OP seems to have survived unscathed. I doubt anyone even noticed.

Yip! Nobody seemed to notice 😂
It was a lighthearted post that some may have taken more seriously than intended.

In the time it took you to write this you could have painted them 😂 although I personally would not worry if you don’t get round to them x

DJT86 · 13/06/2023 21:39

Paint them. I think it's actually always good to have small goals when you have a little one.

The wedding was on Saturday.
