To not paint my toenails for my friends wedding tomorrow

First world problem I know! I have painted my fingernails a lovely red but I have lost my toe separators and find painting my toes boring, plus I have a 10 month old baby who makes every task 10x more difficult to complete! My toes will be on show as I have sandals to wear with my dress tomorrow.

UABU- paint your toenails to match your fingernails
UANBU- nude toenails are fine

Well PP have said they would notice and judge, however I will have to just take that risk. I’m feeling defiant! I’ll go to the wedding without painted toenails and see if anyone does seem to notice 😂

You find it boring? It takes like 5 minutes. How do you live life not being able to be bored for 5 minutes?

I was once toe nail shamed when I had in fact painted my toe nails, however my nails on the smaller toes (maybe the outer two or three) are so incredibly tiny that they only warrant the tiniest speck of polish. A very posh man was both mesmerised and incensed by them.

So don’t be thinking painting your nails is the end of your troubles

Or, on the flip side, why would you spend your free time (quite limited for most of us) deliberately choosing unnecessary activities you find boring? Being able to tolerate boredom in order to have coloured toenails isn’t a moral virtue.

I enjoy painting my fingernails weirdly enough. Not sure why toes pain me so much! Maybe because I think hands can be pretty. I have pretty rings on my fingers and I often look at them and think they look nice. I don’t feel that way about feet/toes.

Yesterday, thanks to this thread I gave myself a pedicure and a manicure and I am now sporting ice white painted pinkies and tootsies. Pinkies and tootsies I tell ya !

These presumably also make it impossible to wear closed shoes?

I read this as "enjoy the wedding, naked toad" and imagined a happy little toad at the side of the aisle (so it didn't get trodden on) just enjoying being at a wedding.

I dont think I have ever noticed if other women paint their toenails or not but I am going to a wedding in a few weeks and I think it is all I will be looking for now lol

They’re so ghastly, they haunt me a bit. I’m glad to have been able to offload. I kept imagining how awful they must feel inside a closed shoe. Ugh. She’s lucky it’s been so unbelievably hot.

I wouldn't wear sandals or open toes without my freshly pedicured. I do it myself so it's not expensive but it takes about 1/2 an hour, not two minutes.

Think how many you could have painted in the time it took to write that post. I'd definitely paint them for a wedding. I'd have nude fingernails over nude toenails. It's literally a 5 minute job.

It’s fine. Some people are putting going out with unpainted toenails on the same level as going out without knickers.

I never have this dilemma as I always wear tights even with sandals. Lol. Rarely paint my toes. Can’t actually remember when I last did.
