To not paint my toenails for my friends wedding tomorrow

First world problem I know! I have painted my fingernails a lovely red but I have lost my toe separators and find painting my toes boring, plus I have a 10 month old baby who makes every task 10x more difficult to complete! My toes will be on show as I have sandals to wear with my dress tomorrow.

OP - in a nutshell, you don't have to, they'll look fine, but I doubt if anyone will notice m I would suggest that it's a wedding and people have other stuff to look at!
(I wouldn't have done fingernails, but that's just me). Enjoy the occasion!

I would never wear sandals without painting my toenails, but I have to agree, these one give me the absolute heave.

I much prefer short, painted fingernails too though.

The previous landlord of a nearby pub always wore sandals and had really long filthy toenails. His big toe nails protruded about half an inch. Their pub grub looked delicious but I was completely put off by those nails (even though his finger nails were perfectly clean).

You've not seen people whose toes are close enough together that it would be difficult to paint a nail without smearing polish on the surrounding toes? It's not something you can even visualise?

YANBU. How is this even a question. I’ve never understood painting nails - finger or toe. The only person anyone looks at at a wedding is the bride.

I’ve tried to find a photograph that is as bad as the toenail extensions I saw. They were poking out of a pair of those spongy slider things. God, they were so awful. And made her toenails look so weirdly big, not just long.

Anyway, I can’t find anything quite as awful. But the gist was such (first one illustrates length, but they were much, much wider, second one illustrates style) 🤢:

My toes look similar to the ones below but more like the third and fourth toes on that right foot. So very close that the corners of my nail would slightly touch the toe next to it. Not sure what is so difficult to understand 🤔

It’s not ‘difficult to understand’, I’ve just never seen it before! I don’t habitually look at other people’s feet, because generally feet are rank and I have better things to look at, and my toe nails don’t touch the toes next to them, so it’s not something I’ve encountered 🤷🏻‍♀️. Just like many on here have apparently never encountered nails that don’t touch their other toes. We’re all different, eh?

They are just awful, @Tiddlypomtiddlypom , just hideous. At first I thought the poor people had some sort of dreadful fungal infection, but they've actually paid for that look!

A couple of my toes touch so when I paint them they smudge if I dont use separators. I really don't understand why that's so hard to imagine 🙄

Painted toenails are minging. Bare is fine.

I know right?! My toes touch each other and so a bit of the nail is touching the neighbouring toe. Surely we aren’t abnormal or they wouldn’t have invented toe separators 😂

Who will even notice whether your toenails are painted? I would wonder about what is going on in someone's head if they a) noticed and b) made some sort of demented judgement over this. Nobody could possibly give a fuck about someone else's toenails, surely?
