To not paint my toenails for my friends wedding tomorrow

First world problem I know! I have painted my fingernails a lovely red but I have lost my toe separators and find painting my toes boring, plus I have a 10 month old baby who makes every task 10x more difficult to complete! My toes will be on show as I have sandals to wear with my dress tomorrow.

UABU- paint your toenails to match your fingernails
UANBU- nude toenails are fine

Put loads on then wash off the bits on your skin in the shower tomorrow 😂

The thread has moved on from just OP going to a wedding to PPs declaring all non painted toenails as offensive/slovenly etc. And how summer + sandals requires painted nails. I was adding a comment that I live in a permanently hot place and fortunately its not felt as necessary to paint nails.

I was sad that post didn’t get the attention it deserved. It was funny.

I saw an incredibly fake tanned woman the other day with the frightening over-long, super white, French-tip toenail extensions. I avoid looking at feet but hers were such horrors, I couldn’t help but notice.

Does anyone here get those??? Surely not.

I also don’t comb my hair😁. As a curly haired human, combing/brushing while my hair is dry would rip half my hair out and I would look like I’d been electrocuted 😂

Did you see the one about how to cut pizza a few months ago? Some woman was going ballistic because not everyone liked using scissors.

I just paint the toes that are on show once my feet are in my shoes and they dry on the way to wherever I'm going.

Just like I only shave the parts of my leg you can see

I paint mine because I prefer it, and it doesn't take long at all, but I voted YANBU because really it doesn't matter either way.
I find it really depressing that nearly 60% think it's unreasonable to have naked toenails 😔

The majority of poll responders are saying to paint them, and I suspect they're more of the "It would make me personally happier to see colourful toes peeping out of my favourite sandals when at a party, and it's worth the minimal effort." frame of mind rather than the "How dare you venture into a church with scandalous naked toes you smarter !" approach.

Mind you, I haven't seen the OP's feet - if she's got squished and overlapping toes maybe she really does need toe separators. I have neatly parallel toes and literally don't understand what the point of separators or faffing around with kitchen roll is for. I can't even visualise the problem that they're intended to fix.

I've not seen people out and about in sandals showing off toes that are so crossed over each other so you couldn't paint their nails, no. But to be fair unlike some on this thread I'm not much of a foot starer.

(I am staring at a lot of shod feet atm as it happens because I'm trying to decide what trainers/loafers to buy and what looks good on stylish-looking women. But sandal season hasn't hit so I'm not seeing any toes.)

Or just genuine confusion. I want to see pictures of toes where they overlap each other. I thought most peoples toes were next to each other!

You've not seen people whose toes are close enough together that it would be difficult to paint a nail without smearing polish on the surrounding toes? It's not something you can even visualise?
