To think it's blooming freezing!

I've come downstairs and to be frank it's blooming cold. I have put a jumper on but am still not that warm. I know my temperature regulation is up the spout as I have long covid but am now wondering if it is just me or if others are feeling that it's exceptionally cold for June too - im tempted to put the heating on!

You're not wrong. It's freezing, so warm top and thermal tights here today 😑.

I don't need 25 degrees, but I'd at least like to be in sandals now please.

YukoandHiro · 06/06/2023 12:55

So cold. I've worn too little again today (dress, tights, trainers and light jacket and I'm still bloody freezing)
I'm not into it.

MissGroves · 06/06/2023 12:57

NW and a bit cloudier than it has been and cooler (19° today) but set to climb again over the next few days. It’s been warm enough where we are that we have been to outdoor splash parks in cozzies and factor 50 over the last week!

waterlego · 06/06/2023 13:04

I see a few fellow West Sussex/South coast folks have already posted to say that it’s lovely here and has been for quite a sustained period! It has been quite windy though which I’m grateful for as it would be too hot without that.

The downside of the wind is that it is mostly coming from the north so it’s dangerous for those wanting to paddleboard etc. There were two deaths in the sea in my town over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Also worried about lack of rain as the grass is already starting to look yellow in places.

Sussexcricket · 06/06/2023 13:10

:O 20-24c this week here in the south east.
Haven't had any heating on since February.. shorts and t shirt today

Sussexcricket · 06/06/2023 13:10

I'm west sussex to
The breeze is keeping it from being to hot

RampantIvy · 06/06/2023 13:12

11 degrees right now in South Yorkshire. Cold and grey. We could do with some rain though. If it is going to be this miserable it might as well be wet as well.

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 06/06/2023 13:12

Yes it feels really cold today. I've got the day off and after having an appointment this morning and walking the hour home I'm relaxing with my book but really feeling the cold. They've turned the air con down at work as well so it's really cold there

Letsdance8188 · 06/06/2023 13:13

It's been beautiful for a month in the south west, we've just bought another fan as the current one wasn't enough to keep us cool. I've have my legs out in my summer clothes for weeks as well. Get yourself down here!

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 06/06/2023 13:14

To add I'm in Solihull where it's 12 degrees

Crikeyalmighty · 06/06/2023 13:17

@Letsdance8188 I'm in bath - where are you??

MrsMoastyToasty · 06/06/2023 13:18

@Crikeyalmighty I'm just slightly further west (in Keynsham) and its not warm at all. I think its the wind direction and cloud cover that's the cause.

To think it's blooming freezing!
Crikeyalmighty · 06/06/2023 13:19

@dizzygirl1 I'm off into town in my padded coat!!

rickandmorts · 06/06/2023 13:24

It is a bit chilly today but I feel loads more energetic when the weather is cooler!

Monkeynuts57 · 06/06/2023 13:27

Yes after a lovely hot weekend it is freezing
I’ve had to have a hot bath and get changed in to winter jumper! I can’t believe how cold it feels today

YinYogi · 06/06/2023 13:30

The London weather forecast keeps saying it’s going to be 20/21 everyday, but day after day it’s grey and cold and I’m wearing bloody tights in June. God sake.

mosiacmaker · 06/06/2023 13:30

I’m freezing in London but more worried about another horrible drought and all the grass and plants in parks dying again. Would rather rainy and warm than rainy and cold though 🥶

Tootyfilou · 06/06/2023 13:33

Freezing here! . S Wales. House temperature 15 this morning! Heating on as unwell and couldn’t get warm. Hope it improves!!

My eldest son who is living in Glastonbury has said the same.. i'm getting daily updates of him enjoying what seems to be day after day of glorious warm sunshine while back here in the NE it's absolutely baltic. And even when it's warm its grey and cloudy bar one or two rare days of sunshine.

Crikeyalmighty · 06/06/2023 16:54

@EllaPaella check today- it's only 20 miles away from me !! And I'm in a coat

I've got into bed and I've allowed the kids to put the heating on for a few hours because our house is so cold. It's a very cold house in general-never known a colder house than ours- but it's literally too cold to sit downstairs this evening. We are all in our rooms in bed like we were in January. Truly fed up of it now. We are in Herts as well-not in the far north.

Hoppinggreen · 06/06/2023 20:13

Our heating came on this morning around 6 and woke me up

User18540964 · 06/06/2023 20:16

I'm in Northamptonshire and heating has been on each evening apart from Saturday, tonight it went on at 5 o'clock as I could bear it no more, it's more like March/April, I hope this heatwave comes soon

Ragruggers · 06/06/2023 20:21

Lovely sunny warm weather in Cornwall today.
