To think it's blooming freezing!

I've come downstairs and to be frank it's blooming cold. I have put a jumper on but am still not that warm. I know my temperature regulation is up the spout as I have long covid but am now wondering if it is just me or if others are feeling that it's exceptionally cold for June too - im tempted to put the heating on!

York here, i'm cold and have 2 layers on (in the office so limited as to what i can bring!)
House was cold when i left.
I wondered if it was just me as just back from a warm holiday, but i guess not.
Looking better here from Sunday, current forecast 25 degrees though still mostly cloudy :-(

Freeballing · 06/06/2023 11:51

I'm in Ireland and it's another glorious day here. Blue skies, expected to be 22 here today. Its been lovely for ages now. Me and my hammock have become firm friends over the past few weeks.

HoneybeesAndBluebells · 06/06/2023 11:56

I'm in South Wales and it's been lovely for the past 2 weeks.
Actually been wishing for rain as my plants are struggling.
23c forecast this week.

TheFairyCaravan · 06/06/2023 11:56

We’re in South Yorkshire and it’s cloudy and grim. Not overly cold though. We’ve only had a handful of warm, sunny days so far this year.

AuntieMarys · 06/06/2023 11:57

12degrees in Yorkshire

loislovesstewie · 06/06/2023 11:57

At present on the Yorkshire coast it's 11c! Apparently we are promised a high of 13 today. It's bloody cold!

StoneColdAlibi · 06/06/2023 11:57

I'm also in West Sussex, the weather has been beautiful. I'd happily live in 21 degree sunshine every single day, which is what we've had for the last two weeks.
Yes it's cooler first thing but only to a level of maybe needing a long sleeved top to go out in.

shelbabab · 06/06/2023 11:57

I'd have agreed a few weeks ago but it's been warm and sunny here in Glasgow for the last 2+ weeks 😃

TakeMe2Insanity · 06/06/2023 11:59

I’m in London and it’s cold. Despite the sunshine the wind has been cold. I see everyone else wearing summer clothes and I think how?!

ohtowinthelottery · 06/06/2023 11:59

It's been shorts and t-shirt weather here for the last 2 weeks but this morning it's cloudy and 13°. Sunshine is promised for this afternoon though. I did take a jacket out with me but was happy in cropped trousers and cotton blouse as I was only popping into a couple of shops.

Bl4h · 06/06/2023 11:59

There's been a cold NE wind blowing for a while now which seems to be cooling it down. I was camping over the weekend and at one point it went from a high of 20 degrees during the day to 4 degrees at night. Huge temperature drop! I couldn't sit out in it, I had to go to bed at 9 pm each night!

ArthnoldManacatsaman · 06/06/2023 12:01

@Crispymandm where in NE? I’m in Newcastle and have not found it cold these last 3-4 weeks. I’m not saying it’s been boiling (although there have been some hot days) but not cold. Also based on my experience of living here for the past 30 years it seems fairly typical for this area, I have learned not to expect high temperatures long-term and appreciate them when we get them!

Fightyouforthatpie · 06/06/2023 12:05

I have known it to snow (English Midlands) in June - it's just the UK's unpredictable weather. It's always been like this.

Bairnsmum05 · 06/06/2023 12:14

Roasting in Glasgow for once. Even a bit too hot 🤣

BlowDryRat · 06/06/2023 12:16

I'm WFH wearing a hoodie and fluffy slipper boots. I was going to pack away the winter bedding at the weekend. So glad I couldn't be bothered in the end!

Terven · 06/06/2023 12:18

14C here in Cambridge and ice cold northern wind. 🥶

lastminutewednesday · 06/06/2023 12:20

It's cold here in Herts. We've been getting sun at about 4 o clock this week, chilly until then. It's rubbish.

ThePorchSwingCrowd · 06/06/2023 12:20

We had the heating on this morning for a couple of hours as we were all really cold. 🥶

Crikeyalmighty · 06/06/2023 12:23

@StoneColdAlibi weird isn't it as we were in Dorset last Tuesday and it was very warm.

Honestly last 2 days in Bath it's been 14 degrees, windy and cloudy . Not summery at all

South coast here and its been at least 20C every day for the past 10 days - glorious weather. Would love for it to stay like this until November as its not too hot but warm enough to be in the garden in shorts & t shirt.

fridaynight1 · 06/06/2023 12:36

In the NW it's been hot and sunny for the past 10 days or so. Today is cooler and cloudy but I wouldn't say it's cold. It's still t shirt weather and warm enough to have the patio open.

PinkRiceKrispies · 06/06/2023 12:38

I have been really cold today and yesterday. With that said, in London, temperatures have been above average for this time of year for a good few weeks now.

EllaPaella · 06/06/2023 12:40

It's 11° here and I can't get warm. I've put the heating on. So fed up of endless days of grey skies and cold winds. We have had the odd nice day but really this has been the worst May/June I can remember for years.

cafecreme · 06/06/2023 12:43

Wore my coat on the dog walk this morning in a London park.

BotterMon · 06/06/2023 12:43

Warmer out then in despite the cool breeze. My house is cold and the heating has been popping on in the mornings despite being on 15. Currently WFH and temperature is 18 but feels colder so have fleece on and fleecy blanket wrapped around my legs. It's June so am in shorts and flipflops which probably isn't wise!
