6 And 7 year olds playing with their football in the park, bloody dog comes over and grabs the ball and bursts it. No sign of dog owner 2 v upset children.

If it’s a dickhead dog, it’s usually a dickhead owner. Weird correlation that a lot of people will try to deny:

Save your embarrassment it’s certainly not needed here!

it’s actually a great website, but you do need a sense of humour, so it’s not suitable for a lot of posters on here.

I am sorry threads on MN upset you so much that you have to run and tell tales on another website. You should relax a bit. No need to take comments here so seriously. Kids getting upset about a ball bursting shouldn’t affect you so deeply that you have to vent elsewhere.

@AsphaltGirl i think it’s obvious from my post that I wasn’t laughing at the dogs situation. I made that clear and said how disgraceful it is. We laughed about the fact that it was sick on the coat of all the places. We were in a large field but it just happened to stop directly over the coat. What should I do cry myself to sleep over the 1000s of inbred dogs. I do hate it but I have more things to worry about.

I would have asked her for money to replace the coat.

And I wouldn't have an ongoing friendly acquaintanceship with someone who supports the breeding of dogs that are so inbred they suffer every minute of their lives. The cruelty and selfishness is off the scale (her not you).

Sorry, where did I say I have done that? I have indeed laughed about certain threads on Mumsnet, but this isn’t really a worthy one 🤷🏻‍♀️

Oh and believe me, we’re certainly not taking anything seriously when we discuss threads on there, apart from rightfully calling out the pro Ana bullshit that pops up.

@AsphaltGirl yet you have to go back 3 years to get an example?!?!

😂😂😂

To get an example of gross dogs and their shit owners being selfish and ruining public spaces?

No. For that I need to go back about 3 hours (last time I was outside).

I was reminded of the beach story as another poster shared an anecdote that also happened on a beach. And it was, even by the standards of dogs and their owners, extraordinarily disgusting. Managed to ruin the enjoyment and memory of a rare day out so it stuck in my head.

Hope that helps you to understand a bit better xxx

Fruitjellies · 01/06/2023 19:15

Call the police, lock them up and throw away the key!!!

I've been hit by a ball kicked by kids at the park before. Perhaps I shouldn't have laughed it off and had them done for assault instead?

. I was recently in a real life WhatsApp group and I mentioned something about planning a holiday, and was immediately beseiged with comments like " Well, it's all right for you, but some of us can't afford one".

I left the group. People are angrier these days both IRL and on social media.

other than the above WhatsApp group your on in RL @GeriKellmansUpdo ??

Eh? You really had to go and search my previous posts to bring up something totally irrelevant? Go outside and touch the grass.

Perhaps you should go and search "The doghouse" forum to see if I am a secret dog owner. Maybe I am even the secret owner of the dog who burst the ball.

This will teach me to never go on a dog thread again.

Your dog sounds like a right dick.

What a nasty thing to say.

Rapunzzel · 01/06/2023 19:23

A cocker spaniel nicked my son’s barely eaten ice cream clean out of his hand at the park the other week

A dog owner on another dog thread today claimed that dogs would never take food from a human as they know their place in the pecking order. Innit.

That’s fine. But regarding this: I usually just lurk and then laugh about it on the Tattle thread, I have zero respect for anyone that reads posts here than races off to bitch about it elsewhere. I will never consider that behaviour anything other than completely pathetic and embarrassing. I daresay you can live with that.

NapoleonDidSurrender · 01/06/2023 19:30

People are weird. It’s like there is no middle ground between being devastated and shaking with anger about your kids’ ball bursting, and laughing in a super cool chilled way about it.

I expect most sane people are in the middle. Would be reasonably pissed off, especially if the owner didn’t apologise, then they would go home and get on with their day.

Oh sorry, I forgot about the crazed dog fans on MN. Who would not believe it had ever happened in the first place.

😂 well this one clearly thought that place was above a random small child 😂

Indeed. The theory is fundamentally flawed.
