Interview for 70 minutes (I think)
Wonder what will be said, don’t blame him at all for being angry and wanting his say.
Watched a few old This morning clips today of Ruth & Eamonn with Rylan etc and it was really entertaining, the squabbles etc, humour and interesting discussions.
It’s actually quite sad it’s all gone to pot now.

on now

Chickenkeev · 30/05/2023 22:32

Is that it?

Chispazo · 30/05/2023 22:32

Wow, he is really saying what he thinks. Rightly or wrongly I wonder if he'll ever be hired again. Truth tellers scare employers. They still prefer to hire the presenters who smile and say "everybody gets on"

SequinsandStilettos · 30/05/2023 22:32

EH DW queuegate - no film, no camera
National TV awards - runner got drunk and confronted Phil, Holly and execs
False as fuck
EH claiming PS HW hungover advocating use of alcohol "or something else"
whereas RL EH couldn't flog chocolate. Is bitter about double standards.
Sofagate - ambushed.
EH had hoped announcement was that he was leaving(!)
Went to studio. Holly meant to be dyslexic read her pre-planned speech.
EH RL taken for fools, Emma Gormley/Martin Frizzell asking what they were going to say.
Sun newspaper, Kevin Lygo, EG and MF, agents there
Realise it was a deal with Sun as coming-out story
Goes on to exit of anyone controversial from TM going against MDs Woke narrative (DRINK!!!) CMC didn't give reason for wanting rid of EH 5g mentioned
Meghan Markle mention (DRINK!!!)
ITV shareprice. Kevin Lygo staying silent shouldn't be allowed to. Editor of TM policy of what Phil and Holly want, they get.
No response from ITV when asked to comment.

GoOnHoliday · 30/05/2023 23:12

Just an empty shell of a life.

Two actors who don't interact with their colleagues, won't look at them, don't know their names, just collect their money.

Staycalmgirls · 31/05/2023 01:50

Who or what is DW?

SequinsandStilettos · 31/05/2023 06:11

Dan Wootton interviewer

Chickenkeev · 30/05/2023 22:32

Is that it?

Bit of an anti climax wasn't it.

Chispazo · 31/05/2023 07:54

Morning tv takes itself v seriously, nobody is watching. Nobody watches TV, most people are working. The drama unfolding is watchable of course. But Eamonn should ne freeeee to advertise chocolate or danish pastries now.

Inkanta · 31/05/2023 07:57

The media is SUPPOSED to be about holding power to account. This is what is happening in real time. And its FASCINATING. It IS the dirty side of the press but its ALSO the great strength of the press too and what we NEED it for

Yes, glad to see the Mail doing its job! There will be many workplaces where the abuse of power never gets called out. This is what the press are good at and it's keeping me hooked - holding ITV and PS to account.

LindorDoubleChoc · 31/05/2023 08:23

It's only news because it involves celebrities. As the poster immediately before me says, most people in most work places have to endure unacceptable behaviour from colleagues without being able to give television interviews about it. Eamonn is having a full-on hissy fit when in truth he was not This Morning's most popular presenter and he wouldn't have lasted a lot longer on there anyway imo. All of this is not to minimise what PS has done and how HW might have behaved, and whether or not the atmosphere was toxic for all the other staff ... but my ultimate feeling is that this IS gossip and there are thousands and people up and down the country who have been treated far worse at work than EH and no one is listening to them. So it's impossible to ignore the celebrity angle. The DM wouldn't touch the story with a bargepole if it all happened at a branch of Sainsburys.

As someone who is currently working in a very toxic environment with a closed off management that treats certain people (including me) with complete contempt mainly because we are here the longest and employed by the previous CEO who is now retired and not by the current CEO who only seems to have employed her mates, I am taking notes on this, I am waiting in the wings biding my time until I have enough evidence of completely unreasonable, disrespectful, dishonest behaviour that I can take to my Board, more power to them I say.

sunglassesonthetable · 31/05/2023 09:15

What was news seems to have morphed into EA getting it off his chest across 2 nights. It's turned into salacious gossip and mostly confirms what a lot of people previously thought about DW, EH and GB News.

" she's meant to be dyslexic..."

He means she practiced so much it was from memory not reading the script off camera as they normally do.

yes. Indeed.

GoOnHoliday · 31/05/2023 22:11

He has an inquiry now.

The board will cover their arses. You might need to prepare to go to tribunal

With all this talk of GB news, I switched it on yesterday morning for the first time- Peter Andre was one of the presenters! Wasn't expecting that!

Choked on my tea when I saw Jacob Rees Mogg was a presenter. BUT he's actually very good.

Anyone else remembers the open university programme called Coast with the dreamy raven haired presenter Neil Oliver. I could listen to his Scottish accent all day. He's a presenter.

GB news has some lively debates too.
