Ok I know I've spelt her surname wrong... but here we are. We all know who I'm talking about!

I just don't understand why social media has turned on her, almost blaiming her for allowing Phillip S antics to go on?

Why is she responsible for his actions????

And for those saying "she must've known"... maybe she didn't! Maybe she kept out of it or maybe she didn't know the full one and puts.
Why so she being Blaine's. Am I missing something??!

@Treesandsheepeverywhere A story about Peter Jones where?

In the mail. How she dumped him after getting all his business know how on how to start a brand.
Ditched him last minute as she didn't have time to commit to it, only to then start her own brand.

Seems her husband is similar in treating people as P.J was a share holder in his production company, but once it tool off he was discarded too.

@MayThe4th

"The affair began when the man was adult"

Let's say 'the man' was 18. And PS was 45 plus.

Do you really think that's morally defensible?

@MayThe4th have you had an 18 year old son? I’m assuming not. I’d not want a 20+ year old anyone near him. 18 year olds are legally adults. Not emotionally. Mine is still at school. Currently lying in bed snap chatting friends with mugs and plates littered under his bed before going to the leisure centre to “revise” for his A levels. In September he’s going to uni and wonders if he can sneak his Teddy there or if he’ll be ribbed mercilessly. I can tell you, most his friends will be taking theirs. They “big tough rugby players” with mums teaching them to drive. This is the average 18 year old!

Really? If so (unlikely, or maybe he mostly has a certain type of person on his wavelength as a friend) just goes to show, this generation is very different.

MayThe4th · 02/06/2023 12:52

Nowhere did I say that I thought it was morally acceptable. And nowhere have I said that I’d be happy if it was my son - I wouldn’t.

But people are so desperate to continue this vilification that anyone who has a slightly different opinion than “he’s a paedo” is shot down.

There have been all sorts of rumours and untruths being thrown around the internet. Talk of super injunctions and gagging orders which it turns out never existed. People like Eamon Homes etc now claiming victim status and that they could never speak out before and it turns out they’ve just been biding their time in order to maximise their earning potential.

And as for taking a teddy to nursery, I absolutely would discourage that, because most 18 year olds absolutely are not of that kind of thinking. I think that girls hold on to their teddies for longer and it’s less unacceptable for a girl to still have soft toys. Boys absolutely not.

And yes, I have a 20 year old. And my words to him on his 18th birthday were “just because you’re an adult doesn’t mean you’re a grown-up.

People did speak out anonymously in late 2019 early 2020.

If you go back and read newspaper articles from the time it is fairly obvious who was speaking anonymously in the press.

Legally they couldnt go further.

CherryCokeFanatic · 02/06/2023 13:49

Frankly I do not believe that she didn’t know. Hoped PS would try to drag her down with him in some way but seems he has tried to offer the olive branch by covering for her and saying she didn’t know and he lied about it.

benfoldsfivefan · 02/06/2023 13:55

I think that being truthful about who at ITV knew could jeopardise a possible huge pay off for him.

so will HW be presenting on Monday ?

so will HW be presenting on Monday ?

Apparently so - with Josie Gibson.

https://www.itv.com/news/2023-06-02/holly-willoughby-expected-back-on-this-morning-with-josie-gibson-as-co-host

I'm waiting for someone to start a sack HW from This Morning petition. She really should resign but has zero dignity.

I really object to the unpleasant, hypocritical and two faced way she has acted throughout this. Being all 'you are my best friend, I'll stand by you forever' when he came out as gay - without so much as an expression of sympathy for his wife.

Then when it became clear the story about his relationship with the runner was floating ever closer to the surface, she began to scramble to distance herself from him. Again - not any comment about anything other than herself and PS with he lied to me.

As as Eammon Holmes said once the writing started to appear on the wall, she starts buddying up with Alison Hammond and going out with her, when she'd worked there for 10 years or something.

I have to say I really don't believe she didn't know and I think she was part of the whole knowingly turning a blind eye thing. But even if she didn't know, I can't bear this presentation of herself as an innocent and best buddies with people when in fact, this looks like one of the most hardnosed cynical using of people I've ever seen.

Totally

MisschiefMaker · 02/06/2023 17:05

It sounds like HW started to distance herself from PS after his brother was charged, no?

What exactly is wrong with that? Whether she did it for her career or morals or a bit of both, she's not wrong for wanting to keep her career.

Little miss greedy will do anything to stay in her career which her husband engineers for her.

It's the two-faced using of people that I object to - in conjunction with portraying herself as just peachy lovely innocent when she obviously isn't.

I agree that there is nothing wrong with wanting in principle to keep your paws on a high paying high profile cushy job but be honest about it. Get and keep the job on your own merits not because you are clinging on like a limpet to whoever is flavour of the month & pretending to be their best buddy. (or because of your husband).

The brother was a total ruse IMO. It was clear by then the runner story was getting very close to breaking. & who would care really? if you are truly good friends with someone, the fact that a relative of theirs was a murderer, terrorist or whatever, isn't a reason to cut off your friend - if they are a real friend.

Look at the way she f*cked over Peter Jones & his wife in respect of the lifestyle brand Truly. Fine if you are given an idea and realise you could make more money going it alone but don't lead people down the garden path and pull out at the last minute. I think it was literally like 2 weeks before the launch that she backed out and then lauched her own website/brand. It's pretty vile behaviour through and through showing how she treats people in my opinion.

Remembersweetvalleyhighbooks · 02/06/2023 18:27

How can she be back on Monday, with Josie?! Seriously…

ssd · 02/06/2023 18:31

She's got one brass neck

Canthave2manycats · 02/06/2023 18:57

She's a pretty much fairweather 'friend'!

Scyla · 02/06/2023 20:27

Did anyone watch The Morning Show on apple tv?

With Jennifer Aniston?

porridgeisbae · 02/06/2023 21:32

@midnightblue12 OP, I thought you were Holly Willoboughly. Grin

Someone could be India Willoughby/ Willoboughly.

I think it's a bit mean for people to say Holly's career depends on her husband. She's good at what she does, whatever it is, smiling a lot and looking endearing on screen, having nice hair etc.
