Ok I know I've spelt her surname wrong... but here we are. We all know who I'm talking about!

I just don't understand why social media has turned on her, almost blaiming her for allowing Phillip S antics to go on?

Why is she responsible for his actions????

And for those saying "she must've known"... maybe she didn't! Maybe she kept out of it or maybe she didn't know the full one and puts.
Why so she being Blaine's. Am I missing something??!

Jesus imagine getting as far as she has by being endearing and having nice hair....she must wakevip every day and pinch herself

Remembersweetvalleyhighbooks · 02/06/2023 23:54

She’s smiling away, drinking beer on holiday 10 minutes down the road from where I live

Remembersweetvalleyhighbooks · 02/06/2023 23:55

No way could I be out and about, I couldn’t cope with the country talking about me

So? She’s done nothing wrong. She’s not responsible for him having an affair. So good for her. This witch hunt going after her is ludicrous.

snowmanshoes · 03/06/2023 07:38

She’s done nothing wrong? Erm yes she has. Covered her own arse and carried on. She’ll be putting her hands over her eyes next thinking nobody can see her. Absolutely awful.

Ivalueloyaltyaboveallelse · 03/06/2023 07:50

Holly needs to go too. She knew and glossed over it for for her own benefit. It’s time for some new hosts.

TeaYarn · 03/06/2023 07:54

I think Holly will turn on the water works on during the show on Monday to gain some sympathy. She is going to manipulate the situation into a ‘girl power’ moment and try and play up the dumb giggly blonde routine with the women presenters.

billysboy · 03/06/2023 08:06

The whole program needs to go

User1529865 · 03/06/2023 08:23

I also think there may be some waterworks but it won't be ugly crying.

mids2019 · 03/06/2023 08:39

I think there will be a scripted but from Holly on the show where she turns to the camera and possibly selling up a bit acknowledges a difficult time for the show and her personally but the team are a happy one and they will move on. That will be it. Guests will obviously be instructed not to hint at the episode at all.

Remembersweetvalleyhighbooks · 03/06/2023 09:06

How has she done nothing wrong 🤷🏻‍♀️

FancyFanny · 03/06/2023 09:14

Holly hasn't done anything that deserves a sacking! What exactly do people expect her to have done? We don't know that she 'glossed over it'! For all we know she could have been speaking out behind the scenes and in talks with ITV about it. She's a TV presenter, it's her job, she's not responsible for publicly outing a colleague and it would be unprofessional of her to have spoken out live on air, gone to the press or acted anything other than her normal cheery self on the show. It's not her job to be accountable for PS.

Viviennemary · 03/06/2023 09:23

I think Holly's fake persona has slipped over this issue. This I am so nice everyone loves me stuff has always been an act which could see through. I think she should go too.

HadleyVaughn · 03/06/2023 13:21

Holly hasn't done anything that deserves a sacking!

She totally has in my opinion. I don't believe she didn't know but even apart from that, my issue with her is not the PS should she have said something but that the whole reason why she has that job is because the supposed connection with the audience as a smiley friendly decent person who was part of a 'best friends' double act. That is why she kept the job because she was part of the pair and he was the senior, safe pair of hands in presenter terms (ironically).

In fact, she has demonstrated herself to be utterly two faced, leeching on to whoever is flavour of the month pretending to be a best friend, never expressed any concern for PS's wife during that show-pony coming out affair, and then even when it was apparent a young man had likely suffered her, released that horrible self-serving statement about 'PS lied to me'. FFS shut up. Say nothing or if you have to say something, acknowledge the one person in this who really has grounds to complain.

So for me she has lost all pretence at friendly decency and integrity - which is the core of her reason for having that job. There's nothing left and she should resign.

Add to that - I do think she knew because it was fucking obvious (NTAs, etc) - but that's just my opinion.

I actually think, from her perspective, the worst thing she's done is drop her so-called BFF like a knotless thread the minute she realised this was coming out. I'd have had much more time for her if she had condemned what he had done, but stood by him because she genuinely cared about him as a friend.

She's just a user, and yes, her facade has now been exposed. I personally think it's too late anyway. She is irrevocably connected to PS.

absolutely @Canthave2manycats . That's the essence of my point but better & more shortly expressed.

Solonge · 03/06/2023 15:38

Can I remind everyone that Boris Johnson has had too many affairs to mention. He was having an affair when his wife was having treatment for cancer. Yet still people support him and made him MP. Anyone wonder why its so different?

The Queen met Prince Philip as an 8 year old, he was a young teen. Princess Diana was 16 when she met Charles who was 29. Any comments about grooming? Truly. An older man had an affair with a younger man, ffs it happens daily and no one tells people they are having an affair, thats the point of affairs, they are secret.

Anybody else think this is bloody convenient for Boris Johnson and the government right now? Media deflection and the population fall for it every bloody time.

Are you suggesting Prince Philip groomed the Queen...!??? She was in a much greater position of power than he was.

Can people not marry each other because they met when they were young?!

As for BJ, he's disgusting - dishonest in every aspect of his life.

porridgeisbae · 03/06/2023 17:13

I'm not downplaying the grooming angle.

We all get hurt by love at the end of the day now, especially by older guys/users.

I'm just saying, I can see why Holly was less leary of that, and the last straw for her was him keeping quiet to her about his brother being a paedo.

Or maybe the brother being a paedo helped Holly realize how shady Phillip's behaviour was.

But she shouldn't lie (IMHO she is) and say she didn't know he was dating the young man.

HadleyVaughn · 03/06/2023 17:36

I have to say I don't like Vanessa Feltz either as I think she's annoyingly loud but this is an example of how it is possible to respond to these allegations in a straightforward and non-two faced way without throwing your so called friends under the bus:

It's from an interview in The Times Vanessa Feltz’s new single life: ‘I still want affection and hot sex’

For the past 12 years she hosted Radio 2’s early show from 5am to 6.30am, following it half an hour later with BBC Radio London’s breakfast show, where she spent 20 years. Twice a week she’d whizz from there to ITV’s This Morning studios for their agony aunt slot, which she still holds. She looks stricken when I mention the presenter Phillip Schofield’s downfall. “They [Schofield and his co-presenter Holly Willoughby] are both friends. Alison [Hammond, who is standing in] is a very good friend. I love everyone concerned, and I hope everyone finds a way forward.”
