“You’re a bit scary”

What does this mean? What does it mean if someone thinks you are scary? I feel like I’m just a normal person but I’ve been told this twice by friends in my life.

I'm told I'm scary. Interesting that it's never by a senior (I've asked them and I often have to talk "truth to power", so I'm not a kissarse) but very often by a person to whom I have had to say "no".

I find increasingly that there are folk that don't like people saying "no", even when it's delivered as part of a sentence with either a qualified reason or alternative.

I would take to mean you're formidable!
