Come to London, we haven't had sun for ages

Don't worry we're getting it next week

FusRoDah · 23/05/2023 17:10

22-25 is my favourite temp range, so pretty happy right now. Definitely don't want any more high thirties like last summer.

lindyloo57 · 23/05/2023 17:10

That's not hot, its a normal summer, about time, its been a lousy May, I hate winter.

GulesMeansRed · 23/05/2023 17:13

It;s fecking freezing in Scotland still. DH has just remarked that he's had to put on the "big jumper".

BBC weather agrees: "You'd be forgiven for thinking things have taken their time to warm up this year.
While overall temperatures have been around average this spring, there's been a real lack of very warm days. England and Wales had to wait longer for the thermometer to climb above 19C than in any year since 1986.
Even in May temperatures have only crept up slowly with 23.4C the highest recorded so far, in Cardiff on 22 May. In most previous years we'd been above 25C by now.
However it is possible - but by no means certain - that we might just reach that figure before the month is over."

ChiefAdjusterOfRubensShorts · 23/05/2023 17:17

Manchester here and I’m buzzing for it!

Panda89 · 23/05/2023 17:18

Looks perfect for half term! We just got a new paddling pool so looking forward to getting it out.

SoupDragon · 23/05/2023 17:18

Nope. After months of horrible cold, grey, wet weather it fills me with joy.

We get good weather for just 3 or 4 months out of 12. You have all those other miserable months to be happy in!

Cinderellasfeatherduster · 23/05/2023 17:20

Im just grateful for some sunshine. I’ll be out in it recharging like a lizard and I’m no sun worshipper.

LadyJ2023 · 23/05/2023 13:56

It absaloutely delights me it can never ever be to hot

Call me pedantic but well it can can’t it? I mean 42.3C is the maximum temperature that humans can survive. After that our cells start to die. It almost reached that temperature last summer.

TwoFluffyDogsOnMyBed · 23/05/2023 17:23

However, the temperatures over winter and spring, as well as the current temperatures are perfectly normal for England.

Changingtides1234 · 23/05/2023 17:25

Isn’t 20 degrees fairly typical for the end of may? I thought it was. It doesn’t fill me with dread but what it indicates for the future, does.

chipshopElvis · 23/05/2023 17:28

In Manchester and loving it!

Viviennemary · 23/05/2023 17:29

I dont teally like hot weather either. Hope it isnt like last summer. Far too hot.

Dagnabit · 23/05/2023 17:34

I’m going to Wales for the week during half term so I’m ecstatic!

AuntieMarys · 23/05/2023 17:34

I hate sweating and feeling sticky. I plan to waft around my home, sipping a glass of something

Purplecatshopaholic · 23/05/2023 17:35

I hope Scotland gets it - the hotter the better for me

Blossomtoes · 23/05/2023 17:35

It fills me with deep joy. We only get about four properly warm months.

lyingonthebeach · 23/05/2023 17:36

Fills me with joy! Finally we can say good bye to the depressing, cold grey and feel more alive.

I'm in London and we've had quite a few sunny days.

GetTheGoodLookingGuy · 23/05/2023 17:42

LittleHare · 23/05/2023 13:36

I'm in the OP's camp - 18 - 20 degrees all the way here. No more, no less!

Same. It’s been lovely here (south coast) the last week or so. If it could just stay like this until mid-September…

RampantIvy · 23/05/2023 17:43

All those winter lovers, snuggly jumpers, boots, comfort food have had their time!

Yes, all nine months of it.
It's our turn now.

Anything hotter than over 15 degrees and I’m done in. I hate it!

That's a pretty extreme reaction @Verbena17 . I fully understand that some people have medical conditions that are exacerbated by hot weather, but 15 degrees isn't even warm. Have you ever looked into why you react so badly to mild weather?

Dintananadinta · 23/05/2023 17:44

I'm worried for my dog

QueefQueen80s · 23/05/2023 17:47

Love these temps, hate 30 and over

gamerchick · 23/05/2023 17:49

Not too bad for us. Could be a bit warmer.

Ah I see the miserable bastards are out in force today 😂
