Good Fucking Riddance!

Collidascope · 23/05/2023 13:27

I just got an alert about it and was surprised as I thought he'd died ages ago. Think I must have confused him with Max Clifford or Stuart Hall.

FloofCloud · 23/05/2023 13:28

I hope there are damaged
People who may get some solace now

Collidascope · 23/05/2023 13:28

*Oh, Stuart Hall is still alive.

FergalforPM · 23/05/2023 13:28

"two little boys" was Thatcher's favourite record - no doubt it reminded her she liked socialising with pedos.

I also thought he was dead too!

OilyHomer · 23/05/2023 13:31

The Upday notification interrupted a Wentworth marathon, so he's a double cunt

He was a very talented individual, it's such a shame he threw it all away.

GoodChat · 23/05/2023 13:32

It's about bloody time. Shame he went surrounded by friends and family rather than rotting in a jail cell like he belonged.

OilyHomer · 23/05/2023 13:33

Him and Saville are hopefully riding a Horse For Two through Hell

Always felt really let down by Rolf, loved his shows as a kid and he "seemed' a genuine nice chap - when it all came out I did feel betrayed, even though, thank god, I never met him.

Saville and to a lesser extent Hall were clearly eccentric at the least and i never liked either - I'm still shocked at the extent Saville penetrated the NHS, even Broadmoor Hospital, having his own keys, unbelievable.

identifyingasmrblobbytoday · 23/05/2023 13:52

Hope he burns. Zero sympathy for paedophiles.

Neverinamonthofsundays · 23/05/2023 13:54

I also thought he was dead. Hope he rots in hell.

HowcanIgetoutofthisalive · 23/05/2023 13:55

At this moment in time, 19% find the OP is being unreasonable. I wonder why they feel that? He was convicted. Of more than 1 sexual assault. Over years and years. ON CHILDREN.

wow.

Hohohogreenjennie · 23/05/2023 13:55

I’m still really shocked about what he did. I absolutely adored him as a child and it feels like a massive betrayal of the public’s love and trust.

I hope his victims have some sort of solace and comfort knowing he is no longer amongst us.

BigMandsTattooPortfolio · 23/05/2023 13:55

He never showed a single shred of remorse. Rot in hell.

Tidsleytiddy · 23/05/2023 13:56

Funny I watched the documentary about him yesterday. What a fucking slime ball. He gave me the creeps as a kid tbh. Glad he’s gone now x

turnthetoiletpaperroundproperly · 23/05/2023 13:59

Who would have thought it?Rolf Harris knocking Philip Schofield off the front pages!!! The irony!

Tbf, it may be because it seems as if I'm celebrating someone's death

I really feel for his victims hearing this news today. I used to work in Light Entertainment at the BBC and for overtime, opened the letters sent to Jim'll Fix It.

Zarataralara · 23/05/2023 14:06

He’s got a long time burning in hell to do. Good.

I agree. It seems that ITV has learned little from Harris, Saville et al. These people get away with so much and convictions are usually just the tip of the iceberg.

Thinking of all the survivors today.

the80sweregreat · 23/05/2023 14:13

To think he was once commissioned to paint a portrait of the late Queen..
I hope he rots in hell
I've only seen twenty minutes of the itv documentary about him and he was so clever how he got away with things :(
Evil vile individual.

I agree with you. Even as a kid I thought Savile was creepy, it seemed to be more adults that were taken in by him because of all his charity work.

Rolf Harris always seemed kind of cuddly and I was genuiinely shocked when the revelations came out. Bleurgh!

BarelyLiterate · 23/05/2023 14:15

Harris was an amazingly talented man, who was widely & genuinely admired & loved by the public. He was even invited to paint a portrait of the Queen. His exposure shocked many people who never imagined that of him. It’s such a shame that he threw everything away.
I hope his death brings some degree of closure to his victims.
