The internet seems full of awful comments about Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.

People should perhaps remember what happened to Caroline Flack!

I had no idea that Phillip Schofield was a tried and convicted child groomer but OK.

Be kind doesn't mean going around to his house with a bottle of wine and a take way meal and become besties with him. Just don't troll him or conduct witch hunts.

To the people saying there is no comparisons between him and Caroline Flack, I can see one big one. Caroline was seen as the absolute scumand hounded. Phillip is currently being seen as absolute scum and hounded. Caroline Flack ended up dead and then it was all suddenly "Oh the poor woman, people really are bastards aren't they?"

What purpose does making nasty comments about Philip Schofield have? It is not making you look great.

He could have been kind to the child his brother was abusing by reporting it to the Police but he chose not to. I have zero sympathy for him.

I don't get why people are being vile to Holly, though.

ignoring Phillip schofields misdemeanours isn’t kind in my eyes. He’s had to slope off because it’s all about to come out.

He met a 10 yo when he was in his mid 40s, 5 years later was following the now 15yo on social media, 3 years later he employed the now 18yo as his runner on 3 different ITV shows before said runner was 'mysteriously' moved to another show not presented by PS after a rumoured complaint by another colleague then PS came out after being in the (not very shut) closet for over 30 years (widely rumoured to be because a story was about to break about the relationship).

@Prescottdanni123 it’s not a “witch hunt” when this man has already publically admitted at various points:

That he lied to and cheated on his wife for years (who then had no agency to feel upset about it because it was all part of his beautiful coming out story…)

That he got into a “relationship” with a man where there was a significant imbalance of power.

Said “relationship” was with a boy he’d groomed… ahem… “known” since he was 10.

That he knew his brother sexually abused a young child and told no one about it.

Yep, sounds like the sort of person we need to tiptoe around.

Personally I’ll save my sympathy for non child groomers or paedophile-enablers.

It infuriated me that he got away with it last time and I’m pleased the pigeons are coming home to roost now.

It's all come out now though. He has quit this morning. People are now seeing him for what he is and have called him out on his actions? What outcome do you want from hounding him for weeks/months?

I don't know how Holly is getting to stay on, she's literally an enabler.

Btw, OP, it's absolutely nothing even close to what happened to Caroline Flack.

But what are the people who are going to hounding him and troll him for weeks/months looking to achieve? What do you want to see happen now off the back of it? Do you want him to take his own life? Because that could be what happens.

It's not a hounding by the tabloid press like Caroline was.

It's people online, many of whom have had direct contact with Schofield calling him out for the sleazy man he is. There are comparisons with Jimmy Savile which may be a bit strong but I suspect we'll be hearing a lot more once his PR machine slopes off together with the ITV production protective shield.

If he didn’t want people calling him a groomer and a paedophile enabler; then maaaybe he should have considered not grooming a child or enabling a paedophile.

If he sees my comments and takes his own life that will be because of him and his own mental health issues; how dare you try and turn this around on me.

Losing his job is the absolute least that should be happening to him; he should be in prison in my view.

Plus, you know that hounding people online can lead to suicides, but only if the victims are completely innocent. If they are not, it is their own fault for their own mental health. Okie dokes

Sorry but if social media hate causes mental health problems that wouldn't have occurred without it then the people posting the hate online are at least partly to blame.
