To not understand what Philip Scofield did wrong?

I’m not a fan of Phil or Holly and have never watched This Morning. However, I’ve read about the issues the show has been facing in the news recently and am at a loss to understand why Phil had to step down. What did he actually do wrong?

I know his brother has been imprisoned for a heinous crime but obviously that’s nothing to do with Phil. So I don’t understand why he decided to resign.

Paedophiles are people with a sexual interest in children

So, an adult in a relationship with a child, most likely IS a Paedophile

Of course, the relationship could be purely platonic

But re PS..... we are told that allegedly, his relationship with the child became sexual

I know one of the crew very well, and they've told me for years how awful Phil and Holly are behind the scenes, they're rude, with huge egos. They don't talk to the 'little people'.

The fall-out was because Holly's kids have spent time around Phil's brother and she's absolutely fuming that he knew about the abuse and didn't warn her. She's, of course, very protective about her children and this in her eyes is completely unforgivable.

It's about her brand, too, she wants to keep squeaky clean and wholesome as her career depends on it. The wheels started to come off after Q-gate, but it's really down to Phil not warning Holly about Timothy.

She was OK with the runner story and all that that involved? It amazes me that she was fine with all the shenanigans re PS being an alleged paedo and an alleged groomer.

He came out as gay in public and I felt sorry for his wife. Why do that on tv? Now there’s his peado brother and that’s awful. Him and Holly didn’t queue Both these presenters need to go and new people found for the tv show.

Say the NDA is actually coming to an end for the show runner and he comes out and says actually it was a completely innocent relationship, he's not commented because of the NDA. He left TM for loose women cause the hours were better and he wanted a bit of variety.
what then will the public stop hounding PS?

There's no actual proof a romantic relationship, inappropriate of otherwise as far as I can see on my Google searching. Just proof the knew/worked together and pots of rumours.

This. I can’t find any proof about the rubber either - like you say, just tons of rumour and hearsay.

Twitter suggests there's a story about to break. That his high court injunction ends this summer. There's 100% more to this story. Ppl don't get ousted from their high profile top TV jobs because of queuegate or impromptu statements or .. that they failed to tell their Co-star something about their brother.

Because I gather he admitted on the stand in Court that his brother had told him.

Is the young runner thing actually backed up by evidence though? Just curious as it all just seems like a lot of hearsay and speculation. But as he did step down there clearly must have been some reason for it.

It only seems like hearsay and speculation because of the cover up job. The people making the decisions to oust Phil probably have evidence of all the information but aren't releasing it to protect the shows brand and are probably paying off the people with the info

Why would you take out a super injunction at such a huge expense if you had nothing that needed silencing?

When a super injunction comes to an end, can you just renew it for another year for example?

I mean, what’s the point of paying all that money for an injunction if it comes to an end and the truth comes out after that anyway? It’s kind of just delaying the inevitable.

I imagine it’s open to renegotiation but the other party probably feels they’re in a better position to have it lifted and speak freely. Perhaps they were concerned they wouldn’t be believed before but now with his brother etc it’s looking more likely they will?

I definitely feel like there is more going on behind the scenes. We didn't get all these rumours and articles about how horrible he is before, although it has apparently been going on for years. There must be a reason they are trying to push him out now.
